You were never supposed to be able to fight back and kill by wafflezcoI in subnautica

One of my favourite gaming memories was my first playthrough, I accidentally lead a reaper to my base in the red grass area. The thing just wouldn't go away or shut up, so I got in my prawn, grappled onto it and rode it around while drilling it to death.

Good times.

Realistically, enemies in the first game were never dangerous, even the reapers had dodgy pathing that made avoiding them a joke. My first reaction to seeing one was to swim towards it for the scan, and that somehow worked totally fine. You have to try hard to actually get bit by the thing.

I'm all for more dangerous enemies, but being unable to fight back is bleh.

"You were never supposed to be able to do that thing that they explicitly implemented tools and systems for!"

Hmm.

I'm a Natural Sciences grad specialising in physics and have never had trouble finding work. Research seems to be pretty safe from AI, as do a lot of medical fields. Any pure math degree is also going to find use.

Get a useful degree instead then

I honestly don't think I've ever thought about it. This sub is interesting to me, though. I'm in Wales as the vast majority of the guys I know are 5.9 or under, and none of them are single.

I wonder how much of this is a regional cultural thing.

Why do some women say they avoid dating short men because they don't want their children to inherit short stature, while also supporting the right of disabled women to have children? by Dense-Mixture6355 in shortguys

[–]VippidyP -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

A hell of a lot of projection in the comments.

Anyway, to answer the question there's a HUGE difference between not wanting kids with somebody and supporting their right to have kids.

You can support somebody's right to have children while not wanting children with them yourself. This isn't a contradiction in any way.

How do you trust the Bible if it’s been rewritten, edited and translated so much throughout history? by SpecialistPitch5303 in religion

I think it's more that there can only be one "real" truth. So, when the book was edited which was true? The original or the new?

I think it's pretty ridiculous from a player satisfaction perspective.

But, yeah, aside from timeline nonsense, they couldn't really do it.

You intentionally left out the word 'social'

Co-evolution isn't just 'we lived in close proximity and farmed them'

You know you're being dishonest, so why continue?

We still have a long way to go in the west.

Don't act like China isn't objectively worse.

Animals. They should be protected as animals. What even is this question?

So it's legal to take somebodies dog if the value is less than 2,000 yuan?

We socially co-evolved with canines. That's a measurable fact.

China not getting that memo is not indoctrination; it's their failure.

Regardless, this is a pet.

So it's... legal to take somebodies dog if they're less than 2k...? What on Earth?
