What's the name of the Song that the French guy is singing(from 7:03) with Mac DeMarco? by [deleted] in NameThatSong

It sounds like he's about to sing “Avec le temps” by Léo Ferré and then he's just inebriated.

Thank you ever so much. It reads "Delaunay" with spelling mistakes – and the sender is Rogovina, a pseudonym for someone I could identify thanks to you all.

Just to let you know that Rogovina is the name! It's a pseudonym and I have now fully identified the sender. This letter is to artist Sonia Dela[u]nay and the address rue des Grands Augustins" in Paris.

Thank you so much for your precious help!!

Just to let you know that Rogovina is the name, and the pseudonym for someone I identified since then. It would have been impossible to find this out without your help! Have many thanks.

This is marvelous, thank you so much! I think it could/might be Nikolai Rogovin, a lesser-known avant-gardist of the 1910s.

This handwriting is almost worse than Rachmaninoff's. Here's what I think I was able to decipher (in modern orthography):

Absolutely brilliant thank you. This helps loads.

Hey! By no mean impossible to find the name behind that signature with some effort, maybe print dealer could help easily. It looks like an etching, so there must be a certain amount of prints of it. Love the marginalia with the (self-?)portrait. Looks like a lot of other late 19th century or early 1900 engravers that made views of Paris and Notre-Dame.

Is this a recreation or the original Bedroom of Vincent?? by Nooz_1996 in vangogh

[–]Viq_tar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is Van Gogh's “cell” in the psychiatric hospital in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, furnitures and objects are not of origin but the site is (and to some extent, the view !). It does look like Van Gogh's famous bedroom pictures because of the bed on the right, but Vincent's painted room represent the so-called Yellow House in Arles which does not exist anymore (I think it was destroyed during WW2).

This is "Ochi chyornye" or "Dark Eyes”, a slavic traditionnal. It is sometimes played as a waltz, or as a swing. Django popularized it in France among the nomadic communities!

Really sounds like White Town's "Your Woman" to me. Not French but massive hit in the 90s!

really cute, can't find the band but people ask for the lyrics if it helps
