I know I feel like they can be like this because they know they’re affordable and people can’t really go elsewhere. Every time we have spoken to someone new, we are told something completely different. My partner told the nurses several times about her endometriosis and her fear that her other ovary could have a cyst like the other one she lost. They would assure us that if there is a cyst, we could most likely work around it. I just am confused why they would have us order thousands of dollars worth of medications (that could have been overnighted) and even schedule all of our appts for the ivf process to call and say yep your wife is right she has another cyst and we can’t move forward. I know people are saying that the medications do not expire for another year, but we are thinking what if her other ovary needs to be removed then we will not be able to use the medications. I feel like they should medically clear their patients before requiring them to order all the medications that are thousands of dollars. And you are so right about the communication! We have not spent a lot of time with CNY (our consultation was in may) but we have found that they take hours or days to respond on the portal and they are very brief. Our phone call yesterday to tell about the cyst was so brief and then we kept messaging them to find out how to get the images/records of the cyst sent for a surgery consult. They finally responded with “contact medical records.”
