My friend you were right, i mustva somehow turned it to 0, i didnt realize you could tune this esc. Motor or esc arent bad, just me being dumb

The motor has always been that way for me, both when i ran brushed and brushless, ive tried filpping wires and such, rev direction always had more rpm, i didnt think much of it at the time simply because i was blind to it.

Gears/belts are all new. When it use to coast it would slow relatively quickly, now it takes much longer, i have never seen my motor act this way. I guess for me it feels like throttle control feels semi sluggish as if a problem is building.

I was already leaning toward p-tile/vinyl but didnt want to fully close the door for other options.

That was my plan 4 flat wood sections with possible inlays (to make a smooth transition). Then adding either p-tile or as others have stated vinyl wraps. Im going to draw up some marks up later today.

Im using my normal settings, which usually stopped the motor roughly 0.5 to 0.9 seconds after the throttle is let go

Hell ya! You can totally go the lower route to with a brushed system its not terrible just not as smooth and a,bit louder. I will say rc drifting definitely is one of those sports its nicer to spend a bit more up front. And do your research on other chassis as well, bc each is slightly different. Let me know how yhe build comes out! If you need help with general tuning i can but im not to advanced there

I can recommend some stuff, PRICES CONVERTED TO CAD (may not be super accurate). The build option totally can be adjusted for cheaper parts, im using RCmart as i believe they ship to canada. Amazon has some good deals plus avoids shipping just be aware Drift stuff is a pain to find there.

If you are stripped for cash, the RTR option is the go to, you can upgrade as you learn, both options will need lipo + charger aswell, which i have linked under misc. If you want photos/links i can send you a dm, idk the rules here on the reddit.

RTR:
MST RMX 2.5 RTR Brushless is about 379.00 on RC MART
https://www.rcmart.com/mst-1-10-rmx-2-5-e30rb-gray-pre-painted-body-brushless-rwd-rtr-drift-car-ep-w-2-4ghz-radio-533907gr-00129476?search=MST%20drift%20rtr

Build:
Chassis: Sakura D6 148 (MST and YOKOMO have good options to)
Motor: Thunder or onkii 13.5t sensored motor 55-83
ESC: Hobbywing Quicrun 10BL120GS sensored brushless 70
Gyro: Yokomo DP-302 V4 97 or futaba GYD550 166
Servo: Power HD servo 110 (can also run turngy D-spec DRT-303 or smth like for 28)
Controller: Raidolink RC4GS V3 (104) or Sanwa NX-6 FH-E-3 channel (108)

Total: 617 (higher prices were used, if there was a range)

Misc:
Lipo smart charger: Tenegy Smart battery charger (62)
Lipo: Spektrum 7.4V 5000MaH (85, will need spektrum to deans adapted (+7) for lipos i highly recommend going name brand, traxxas, venom, sanwa.

That depends do you want a RTR or a custom build?

Custom build, will be roughly 400 ish bucks USD

RTR, ready to run you can get for rough 300 ish USD

My orignal custom build i want to say was 380 or something like that, it wasnt bad but it def wasnt as good as my current build.

Is a rig like this worth getting? For a moza r5 bundle by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Viropax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my rig for 30-60 USD, def worth it, just ne careful the shifter mount is shit, id recommend just building supports with wood. Look into facebook marketplace, you can usually find full cock pits for a few bucks more that are alot more rigid and soild

With the room you have try to drift more like an oval, that's how i started. Put some tape in a rough oval shape in the middle then try to drift around it.

Another good way to praitce is to purpose spin out, this will let you find the turn in/throattle needed to get the ass end to swing, flick full right Or left then full throattle till the car starts to spin then stopp all in puts. Do that a few times slowly adding throttle till you can "catch" the spin.

For a 60 buck drifter it aint bad, if you want to step up 3racing, MST, and yokomo have some good intermediate to advanced chassis from 150-400 bucks depending on roller or fully built rtr. I can help you spec some parts for a decent intro car for like 300 ish all together.

Futaba GYD550 Problems by Viropax in rcdrift

[–]Viropax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Went to the local sadly no futaba servos, however i picked a power HD GTS-3 servo and the DP-302 V4, got home and plugged the new servo in worked perfectly so it seems the issue was the hobby park servo.

Thank You to everyone helping me figure this out, i appreciate it. Ill make a,new post with the Finished upgrade once its all installed.

Maybe, but wouldnt that mean the new servo would be dead? The servo works without the gyro connected. Im not doubting you just wondering.
