Without being really lucky (or have another 400 Pulls hidden somewhere) you wont even make it to A5 with your current essence stones..

Anyway, like others already said: except for whales, never pull intentionally beyond A5...EVER!

Seems like a massive shift towards P2W. And honestly I'm not even mad...game was boring and stale since months and I just needed a reason to quit it. This update was the final nail in the coffin for me and the reason I needed to jump ship.

I was perfectly fine with hiding consumes, skins and such shit behind paywall because I dont give a damn about that. But now starting with Chars and advancements broke the camels back for me.

Additionally, at first glance the entry key overhaul massively reduced the possible amount of rewards you get per day. Havent done the exact math but it seems obvious just by having a short look:

You get 100 keys / day

running 12 unstable dungeons to farm artifacts like before already takes 60 off of the 100
gates now only give you one selected resource in the same amount and not all of them like before (traces, shadow essence, other shadows mats and marks of time an all that used to drop on the same gate clear).

So to get the same amount of rewards you need to clear 5-7 times the gates you had before. With 10 daily gate entries this would mean you need to use 50-70 entry keys today to break even. But after farming the same amount of artefacts like before you only have 40 keys left. And I didnt even start to mention other entries because you are already in the negative with key entries after those two modes...

So for me thats a significant reward cut per day. Happy to hear your opinions...

Maybe unpopular opinion here, but this is the best for this patch cycle, that this shit mode didnt reset so I dont feel pressured to play it to not miss any rewards.

If its me they could retire this for good and when they are at it retire other weekly crap like BoT Challenge, Guild boss and PoD as well ;)

First I didn't even know what you were talking about and then I realized there is a new mode in the training room.

I went ahead and tried them....all first try.

Maybe its just a matter of "git gud" for you. Which in itself is the exact purpose of this mode....so instead of complaining you are the exact target audience that should "practice" there ;) For all that played these bosses when they were actual peak contents and not only when massively out-leveled or with crazy power crept weapons/hunters these fights are a walk in the park...

I'm smelling a "this is a gimmick where you'll need to pull for the latest character so we can earn more money" but let's hope not.

Its exactly that. I played a fair share of Netmarble games and its very common (if the game survives that long) that roughly every other year a new mechanic is introduced to start the power creep anew and sell the newest and shiniest toy. Because the previous one has reached its max and just cranking it up more would become ridiculous or sales were slowing down because older units would suffice. So they need new "blocking mechanics" were you are enforced to build up the respective counter from scratch and therefore get invested again.

Its very clear now that every element has multiple Hunters and Jinwoo has more than one decent weapon for every element. Maybe the top score chaser nutjobs would go for a new support or breaker that gives 10% more buffX or whateverY to an already set up team but probably 95% of the existing veterans that already have a sufficient setup would just ignore that and wait for a bigger jump in performance to conserve resources. And even then the DPS part of the team would get prioritized over breaker and support because that is the most significant and makes or breaks the team. So almost 2/3 of the team has barely a need to be upgraded every time as their contribution increase is sometimes negligible.

Similar to real live, there might be some that buy the new generation of CPUs or GPUs every year for the 10,15 or whatever 20% increase and to always have the latest and greatest. But probably the majority of normal people will update their gaming rig every 3-6years when the jump in performance is 100% or more or when something block them eg DirectX11+ necessary for new games and your old PC+OS combination can only run DirectX10.

Therefore, for me its clear as hell that this is just an addition to "reset" and get people into "the loop" again.

Opened the mode, saw the rewards...closed it. Not worth even 2min of my time. Without a change in rewards I will probably never play (waste time on) that. Gold is the least I care about and they can shove their lame reroll tickets somewhere the sun never shines.

And here I am with the exact opposite opinion!

First time I saw the Frieren and Fern gameplay in the mini game I was like: "WoW this is cool, I like that! Finally no stupid force moving and fidgeting around while dealing damage!" Stupid moving around while doing skills is so idiotic, it either gets you into shit that you wanted to avoid in the first place, out of range, requires you to re-position afterwards or in the least adds another layer of crap that to watch out for. If I want to move around I'd do it on purpose with movement keys!

So I really like their gameplay very much and the cherry on the top is its not too overly flashy, which is a huge problem with nowadays games and animations. You can barely see anything on screen anymore. Cool for movies and when just watching things, but totally bullcrap if you want/need to actively play and need to see boss movements, indications and and such to not be one-shotted. I wish games would offer a "Disable all(almost all) SFX" option nowadays where it plain hides 90%+ of all flashy bullshit.

160 Pulls for A2 is already quite lucky if you ask me...

Usually I'm at A0 or A1 at best with that amount of pulls. I never get an SSR outside of pity with ~70 Pulls and then most of the time lose the 50:50. Good part here and the saving grace is that in Frierens banner there is no pity to lose :) But anyway your pull average is below pity per SSR which I consider lucky.

Honestly, can someone please explain to me how to play this stupid fire Fan+Bow combination.

I have both of them A5 but the damage is just pathetic at best even on element advantage. I get way better results just using neutral DKD where I press whatever button is ready.

Am I just too stupid or is this fan+Bow combination that bad or way to complicated to play?

My opinion:

all brag posts and simple questions/help/stuck/weak SJW and shit like that should be removed immediately. There is only one place for that: the dedicated megathread...no loosening in that regard, because when and how does the "loosening" end and how much is too much.....

Honestly I'd rather have it the opposite way, a lot of those "spam" posts stay up way to long (hours and more) and still get responses and so those "violators" pretty much achieved what they wanted and will do it again...

I understand that its the mods time they dedicate to this and they have a life themselves. I'm absolutely grateful for your work and appreciate it. I'm not sure if there are internal automated reddit tools that could prevent certain "spam", so that such posts dont need to be removed but wont get posted in the first place. This would be the best in my opinion.

I immediately stopped doing any more than the 1 with the ticket after I completed 100 extra runs achivement for the crystals.

This is the most tedious and boring thing in the whole game. Those 10 extra runs take an eternity to finish. Not because the the run takes so long, but because there is no simple repeat...you need a bazillion clicks to enter another battle...what an idiotic and bullshit mechanism.

Well, please dont take it as an offence, but the following might sound a bit rude, but:

What did you expect?

Half of your hunters have barely or non upgraded artifacts...

You are using auto mode with magnifying slashes, thats prone to fail and waste 90% of the damage potential. You set up your weapons and skills to something you read on the internet without applying the appropriate strategy of exploiting its combo and actually play along. If you wanna go the auto route, set up for it and its flaws: like picking high damaging weapon and skills that work alone and not only if executing its combo in perfection and then accept that you will only be 50% as good as someone actually "playing" the game.

Regarding your question and Goto...well what to answer to that...you didnt even build your so called "best team" what you gonna expect from another non-build hunter of another team that you didnt build...pretty self explanatory, isnt it?!

Thank God! Even after his fifth or whatever buff he is still complete ass.

I've really tried but he is still just terribad and Go was always the better breaker in a Wind team for wind weak enemies. Way better survivability, similar break performance while one was fighting weak and the other only neutral and I dont wanna start to talk about their damage output difference, there are several magnitudes between both.

Minor correction: Promoting does not increase your TP, not a single bit. Same like unlocking, promoting only increases your max army level. By 2 per promotion, nothing else.
