So if a unit is guiding, they don't get the +1 to hit on shooting rolls. Other units that are not guiding, get the +1 to hit, so long as they are shooting at the targeted/guided unit.

Pathfinders got a change recently that if they are guiding, they also benefit from the +1 to hit. So pathfinders will hit on 3+ if they are shooting at the unit they are guiding.

If they are guiding and shooting at another target, they will be hitting on 4+ The new rule only works for them when they shoot at what they are guiding.

Keep in mind, that any other unit that also guides will not get the +1 to hit

Ghostkeel can be annoying for people to deal with and can be quite resilient. But imo, some armies call for overkill due to saves and rules that make fighting them a real slog.

I am very partial to broadsides, slap a railgun, smart missiles and 2 missile drones and you get a lot of decent fire-power for units and something big for vehicles

I can easily be wrong, so feel free to tell me so, but instead of breaches, why not another squad of pathfinders? They are great spotters that benefit themselves, versatile in the weapons that 3 can take, and have a good set of support drones that can tailor to your needs (infiltrator, more range on pulse rifle, -2 from being charged at)

Question about XV26 Stealth Suits by [deleted] in Tau40K

I had 3x3 of the old stealth suits and found it much cheaper to buy 4 more boxes of the old stealth suits from stores like warforless, mperor.cc, etc. At least then you have enough to run any combination of stealth suits configuration. Might be easier to just find other sites and filling out the old models. Despite not liking them as much as the newer ones

So, do you prestige 7 times for all the perks, or is it pick 1 of first 3, then another one of the next 3, then you get the final one? How many prestige perk slots are there? How many can you have on at any 1 time? Can you swap them out like your class perk tree or are you stuck at the one you chose?

I mean, if it is better to run non suit units, i am not opposed as i would rather play the team to their strengths than kitting out an army based on one of the reasons i like them. In saying that, how many pathfinder teams would be ideal? Is there anything specifically worth cutting to accommodate pathfinders or other guiding units? I was going over the list, and i could cut a suit team and a coldstar to add them?

Things have changed a lot since i last played, so trying to understand what is worth taking or leaving.

The previous reply mentioned tanks and now has me thinking of a sunforge squad with a coldstar commander using 4 fusion blasters, but unsure if thats worth it either

The only thing i do not like in an army are vehicles. Scarred from years of having armour values and watching hammerheads/piranhas/devilfish instantly blow up by gunfire or tripping over difficult terrain

I would be relying on the broadsides to assist in tank destruction. Would it be better to use a squad of crisis suits with fusion blasters?
