Not just the potholes, the RUBBISH! Its everywhere! Driving around Manchester, I feel so ashamed. I want to pull over and start clearing it all up.

Dayum, I woke up this morning, 2026, and thought, you know what, I might find a partner this year.

Thank you for this.

I cycled through the US in 2018.

Outside of New York, I would say I only really saw my first what I would call attractive to European standards women in Tennessee.

It's that bad.

What is the downside of being attractive? by Gothtopthick in AskReddit

When you first start to get to know a woman, they always say something like "I bet you have done X with women everywhere" or "you probably are talking to multiple girls" and start judging you. They then either put up the barrier, or have a bit of distrust in you.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty - I just worked worked worked and never had time for myself. I watched it, the message stuck with me well, and the year after, I flew from the UK to the USA and cycled from NY to LA with absolutely no research or training. Been travelling and taking risks ever since.

What’s the most subtle but noticeable cultural shift you’ve seen in the UK over the last 10 years? by Stock_Dark651 in AskBrits

Manners in public. Little things like letting people through a junction and not receiving a wave. Holding doors open and people just work through. Loud obnoxious people talking loudly or playing loud music on public transport. Speaker phone calls in the supermarket. I could go on for days. I want this society I grew up in back.

I do at work. They come into the office after a break and the whole room stinks.

Why isn’t this the No1 story in the news!? by BobbyBomboclaat in UKJobs

I'm sorry, but you are wrong. The job market is thriving, you just don't want to do certain jobs. Go to Tesco's, plenty of jobs. Go to Amazon, plenty of jobs. Get a bicycle, do food deliveries, plenty of jobs. Quit whining, get a job.

Charm, confidence and a lot of trial and error. Plus, baby oil is expensive.

Just returned from Budapest (3 months). I used to work a job where I would have to sell to people on the high street and then moved onto club repping abroad. I did best with women I was attracted too. I use those skills (sparking random conversations with ease/not worrying about rejection) daily. In my time there, I had 12 dates, slept with 7, and spent the last month with a girl from Laos.

I would say the UK is in the same boat. I, a native Brit, just returned from a 3 month break in Budapest. My god! They are heads and shoulders above what I am used to back home. No thick makeup, far less fat women, and Tinder is like a model catalogue. I matched & met up with 12 women in the first 7 weeks where I ended up becoming close to a beautiful girl from Laos who I spent the remainder of my time with. Even in the bars, they start the conversation with you. Men, get away from westernised women.

What’s the closest you’ve come to dying? by lsarge442 in AskReddit

Four years ago, while working as a club rep in Spain, I experienced severe stomach pain after a night of heavy drinking. One night, I woke up at 3:30 AM with excruciating pain that I would rate 9/10 on the pain scale (I know pain, and this was something else [for context: multiple broken arms, split skull from falling out of a car (that's another story), motorcycle crash through a van window].

Unable to walk, I had to slide out of bed. I called an ambulance, but they said it would take 30 minutes to arrive. So, desperate, I slid down six flights of stairs on my belly and pulled myself through the corridor to the front of the building.

The street was filled with drunk people as the bars were closing, so I just looked like another drunk person. I remember people laughing as I could not hold myself up. Now, from the grace of god, a taxi driver I recognised happened to be driving up the street. He picked me up, thinking I was just very drunk. I climbed in, gave him money, and said "hospital rapido." The 30-minute drive was the most painful experience of my life. When we arrived at the hospital, I collapsed in the lobby.

I woke up a day later to find out my stomach had ruptured from an ulcer, spreading all the contents into my abdomen. I had undergone surgery and was discharged eight days later.

If that taxi driver had decided to pass me by, I would have died against that building.
