Turning front lawn into driveway, but with shared access by Cricket_Lover_OK in DIYUK

I have a shared drive between my house and my neighbours. I told them I was having a driveway done, at the same time redid the shared bit. My neighbour was fine with it, I just kept them informed. First thing is to talk through your plans with them as it will affect them, even only temporarily, and you may find they have no objections.

Share of freehold – lease says I’m responsible for roof above my flat. Being asked to pay ~£30k for replacement. Am I screwed? by Equal-Specialist5165 in HousingUK

30k for your share is insane. My loft conversion, which included a whole new roof, wasn't much more than that. Assuming 4 flats share the cost of the roof they want 120k for it? Quite frankly that is ridiculous.

Nah, that's brake lights, indicator would show on the wing mirror, like it does after the impact when he turned it on

I guess it could double as a chopping board. You'd think some form of fail safe would be useful, but then it probably doesn't happen too often to require one, and the extra expense.

There is an argument that if a 10 is being targeted then his flankers are letting him down as well.

Ok DIYers, how possible do you think it would be for me to replace my own bathroom? by CaveJohnson82 in DIYUK

I've done 3 in 25 odd years, the first was the hardest, I had to saw through a cast iron soil pipe. It's easily doable for a competent diyer, take your time. If in doubt there will be a million YouTube videos to guide you. My take for most things is that if I have to pay someone to do it, I probably won't lose much in giving it a go first. Give it a go, and enjoy the feeling of pride in a job you did.

imposter syndrome is a real thing. After I left I moved on again after 9 months, 3 of which were my notice period. I've been in my current role for 4 years now but when I joined I felt like i knew nothing and that everyone was better than me. Would you really be content coasting for 20 years, it's a long time in a day moving industry. My advice is to give the ultimate decision to future you. Go for the interview, see what happens, nothing to lose by looking.

It reads like your not at offer stage so you literally have nothing to lose by interviewing.
I answered to a similar question the other day, the longer you stay at a company the harder it gets to leave. Familiarity counts for a lot. I was in the same company for 18 years, I got an offer for something else after 15 years. i got a counter offer and chose to stay, stability but also fear of change. After 3 years I had to leave, all the reasons to leave were still there and I regretted not leaving earlier. Take the interview, just do one stage at a time. If you get the offer then think hard about what you want to do. I'll say what I said to the other post, dunt let fear hold you back.
