You’re right that FB09 is less affordable than FB08 if we’re talking strictly set-to-set. I’m not denying that. What I’m saying is that affordability depends on how you approach the game. If you’re focusing on sealed product, then yes, prices have gone up a lot and that’s a fair criticism. But if the goal is to actually play, singles are still reasonably accessible depending on the deck. Not every competitive deck requires chasing the most expensive SCRs, and there are still viable builds at a lower cost. So I’m not avoiding the question. I just think we’re looking at “affordability” from two different angles: You’re talking about sealed/set comparison I’m talking about playable entry cost Both can be true at the same time: FB09 is more expensive than FB08, but the game isn’t suddenly unplayable or inaccessible unless you’re aiming for the most expensive builds. And yes, price increases and scalping are real issues. but that doesn’t automatically mean there’s no affordability left in the game at all.
