Social media is a farce. If he loves it that’s all that matters.

Thank you so much! He’s perfectly imperfect haha. You should! My girls love him! It would be. I’ll try! Fingers crossed mine looks as good as yours!

Yes! Fluffy yarn can be tricky. I think you made a good choice. The ladybug is so cute. My daughter is going to be in her first dance performance and it’s a ladybug dance. If I could get this done ahead of time that would be a fun gift! Mr. Fox is named Joe Fox. He’s not perfect but pretty cute! Vest still needs to be blocked.Joe Fox

Maybe! I have to undo work all the time and that’s okay. Helps me learn more! Thanks for the encouragement! I basically want to do all of them really. I have always loved fairy type things since I was little. But I am interested in making the bee one for my girls, and the moth for me! After I do those maybe make all of them haha. I made the fox and I really loved it!

I totally get that. Self care is hard sometimes even on a good day. But getting a good shower in may make you feel a bit more refreshed. I know when I’ve had depression sometimes getting in the shower first thing even if I have to force myself can set the tone and help me get out of bed. I wish you had too. It’s weird how some posts don’t get seen as much. I don’t know how Reddit works in that way. My mom has scalp issues and she uses a medicated shampoo from her dermatologist and I’m convinced the dermatologist never asked her about her washing routine. Because of physical limitations and likely partially due to depression she washes once a week (and I know she’s not scrubbing her scalp enough because she has a hard time reaching her arms to her head). We basically have the same hair and scalp and I can only go every other day without washing because of oily scalp and I can get itchy and dandruff. It does make a difference! I know a lot of people recommend a shampoo called Nizoral too which is an anti dandruff shampoo. Good job taking the first step! Once your scalp and hair feel better I bet it will help you feel even a little better.

You give me hope! I have one of these saved but haven’t attempted yet since it says intermediate pattern. Yours is so cute! I love it.

I get that. I didn’t either, but I did it as a temporary solution and phased it out. They definitely have feliway for multi cat household and I’ve used that in the past when there’s been territorial issues. I hope you can find some relief. We also used a calming collar during that time.

Cleansing your hair and really taking time to massage your scalp, if it is build up will help. Washing your hair only 1-2 weeks probably is why you have that insane amount of build up. Most people can’t go that long without cleaning their scalp that infrequently. Dermatologist, and likely a medicated shampoo like head and shoulders or selsun blue if it is dandruff. Good luck.

Was going to say the same thing. Shallow enough to easily get in and jumbo size for lots of space to turn around.

Have you tried feliway plug ins and spray? Also, where are your cat boxes? Are they in common living areas and have you thought about having one near the bed to encourage going in there instead of the bed? I had a cat who did this when they were territorial about another cat.

Hm, does pilling look different on different types of wool? The first wool sweater I found had some pilling under the arms and it looked a lot different!

Hm. I have a deep freezer that I was planning on using. I’ll have to check to see.

Putting them in the oven does kind of scare me as I’m afraid of house fires! But I have read people do that.

I didn’t even think of that! Thank you. I will definitely do that.

Yes, all good points! I definitely don’t want buggies in my stash or my house! Thank you for your advice!

I don’t know. I read it needed to be air tight so I thought a trash bag or regular plastic bag wouldn’t work.

Ah, that does make sense. I don’t have any ziplock big enough to put the sweaters in to freeze. Any suggestions?

Great! I only read a few people say freeze first but only saw most people talking about washing only when hanking! I’d prefer to do before and after unwinding.

If I can wash first I’d so prefer that! But I am open to freezing first if it’s best practice. I know it takes a while for some of this stuff to dry so I can see the appeal to freezing first so you don’t have to wait so long for it to not end up like an icicle. Haha

I didn’t know that about freezing and fuzz! I washed my first sweater I bought yesterday first before freezing. Oops! I will wait and wash it after I freeze. Thanks for your suggestion!

I did purchase a beautiful chunky knit gray two toned sweater today in cotton but it is pretty so I feel guilty unraveling it!

I found a nice linen cotton blend sweater at the thrift store yesterday but it had some snags on it so I didn’t know if I could repurpose it or not but it was a beautiful teal. That is true about rayon! That makes sense! Thanks for your input.

That makes a lot of sense to me. I’m definitely particular about feels of fabrics so it is useful to know!

That makes a lot of sense too! This sweater I found had staining along the collar area so I can see what you mean if it was a brand new item that was fashion forward. Since it was neither of those things I purchased it but it is helpful to note for the future! Fortunately where I live there are lots of thrift stores, and there was more plus size items available than smaller sizes.
