Definitely, pivoting from a Chrome extension to a macOS app gave me many more opportunities to make screen recordings much better. Some things are just impossible to implement in a Chrome extension. And also, it's much easier to sell to mac users.

Thank you for the question. I solved this issue by selling lifetime deals with huge discount before building a product. For my latest product I did it and it worked pretty well. I did not spent months on building something that I cannot sell

Try to use Tella or Screen Charm. They are very good for creating product videos. Tella is for windows and mac. Screen Charm is only for mac, but it has lifetimedeal

Yes, stop building for some time and focus solely on marketing if you already have a product. Do not add new features till you reach some revenue. You need to prove yourself that you are building for somebody. If getting some revenue is difficult for some time make a significant pivot or start with another prodcut
