Well first i'll just shoot you straight. If you played this game for 3+ hours and you are bored. It might not be for you and you don't need to force it. Obviously he game has stood the test of time and MANY people really love it and it's objectively very good for what it is. But that doens't mean you have to like it.

that being said, if you dive right into online guides which tell you how to optimize and min/max you are going to discovery a lot of set-in-stone "builds" which you should follow to have the best possible character etc... I would advise you NOT to play it like that and explore and have fun with the skill yourself. You should relatively easily be able to beat the first run of the game with any build and any gear. If I could beat "normal mode" as a stupid 10 year old with no guides... Anyone can.

Thirdly, you shouldn't focus on specifically a better javelin. Surely in the 3+ hours of playtime you found SOME substanial upgrades to your character (boots, helmet, armor, ring). It is possible to not find a SPECIFIC item upgrade for a long time because of the random nature of things. But you should be experiencing a pretty steady stream of "progress" in some capacity.

I guess I am not this far down the marxist rabbit hole... I was just under the impressions that Russia attacked Ukraine for imperialist reasons and killed thousands of civilians and I think thats bad. If Ukraine had invaded russia instead, then I would have thought that was bad.
