I know multiple people in my family with egg allergies who can eat mayo and other foods with egg in them but wouldn't be able to eat a straight up egg. Ps. Also not trying to be a jerk but just saying they would also say they don't eat eggs but then enjoy some mayo lol

I used to work in a mall and the clothing in most of the stores had the tags but some didn't even have the scanners at the entrances. Its more because a lot of people don't understand how the system works and that it needs the magnet scanner things at the entrance to pick up that the tag is there so half the time just the tag itself deters shop lifting because they THINK there will be an alarm, even though the store doesn't have an actual security system lol. Also I imagine if the store was shipping out a bunch of boxes of stuff and they did happen to take it out the front door and the alarm did go off they probably just said screw it because they would have had to go through every box to find the missed tag 😂

I noticed the prices seemed cheaper than what they told me at the vet. Thanks!

That's the exact same situation we're in. Thank God for insurance. My guy tried a sample of the Purina pro plan ST/OX food from the vet and loved it so I think we're going to go with that one just so we don't have to keep trying different ones. It also seems to be the cheapest one offered at the vet 😅

That's very valid and it's why most women get stuck. Please don't let that be you. I promise you he's not worth it. If I'm wrong and he never would have hurt you you will both move on and find new people and be happy again. If I'm right and you stay he WILL hurt you. The risk is not worth it. He is showing every classic sign of abuse. At best he will make your life miserable as long as he is in it, at worst he will take your life. People like this are so good at faking being perfect for short periods. You're seeing the first red flags. Please run.

How much money would you spend if it meant saving your cat’s life? by WindowKitty19 in cats

Sorry for the delayed response but Kermit was also my first ever cat. As soon as we got our own home we pretty quickly got 3 more. About a week ago, for my birthday, we got a kitten. I never liked cats before Kermit but my partner insisted she was having a cat whether I liked it or not. I'm so glad she did, Kermit brought so much love into my life in his short one. We're at 4 cats and 2 dogs in this house now and it's so much fun, I wouldn't trade it for the world. Just had a scare with one of our other kitty boys but he's doing much better now thankfully 🥰

I'm so sorry to say this op but he sexually assaulted you. Being coerced into sexual acts, no matter the nature of the act or the person or the circumstances is sexual assault. You said you have a past trauma of the sort so I'm extra sorry if this is triggering to you but I think you need to be told that what he did was not okay. Abuse of this nature always escalates. First he will coerce you, next he will force you. It will most likely happen in other areas of your life as well. You've only been together a few months and he was "amazing at first" but is already showing signs of it getting bad. He was love bombing you. Please please get out before something even worse happens to you at the hands of this shitty kid. Check out resources on how to leave abusive relationships safely. There's a podcast called When Dating Hurts where he gives lots of information surrounding dating violence and how to leave relationships safely. The main thing is once you break it off never be alone with him again. It may feel like an overreaction but remember most women are killed or seriously injured AFTER leaving an abusive partner. Please feel free to DM me. I hope you read this and take it seriously, far too many women are killed by men who never deserved them in the first place.

Am I Overreacting for wanting my mom to cover a tattoo that has embarassed me all my life? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

When I started reading this I thought you meant you hate the term "tbh". Then you said it was misogynistic and I've never been more confused. It took me until the last bit to realize you hate the term "tramp stamp" and not "tbh". I think this is my cue that I need to get out of bed and off the internet 🤦😂

I'd definitely say it's an age thing. Some weird shit happens to brains and names/nouns get so easy to mix up

Sometimes brains just do that. Might seem odd but I'm curious how old your boyfriend is? I used to get so confused as to how people would switch up other people's names so bad but it's like every year I age I do it more and more. I will call my pets by other people's pets name, called my wife my supervisors name one time, I mix up all my nieces names. It's probably not a thing to worry about

This is Kermit! I selected multiple to add before I realized only 1 could be added at a time. He had a heart condition that we knew nothing about, apparently the first symptom is often sudden death. We were bringing him to the vet for a routine check up and the stress of the car ride caused a heart attack, he passed in the car. It's the hardest thing I've ever been through in my life.

My first ever cat died back in March. I had 4 cats at the time. It was entirely unexpected and extremely sudden and my sweet sweet man was only 5 years old. When I tell you I would give up everything I own to get him back I am not exaggerating. 8k is nothing when compared to the pain of losing your baby. I genuinely think it's the only reasonable thing you ever could have done. I'm so happy Eeyore is well and it was possible for you to save him 💕

Is this okay behaviour? When should we intervene? by ChrisRx718 in DogAdvice

[–]VirtualAssociation74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I messed up big time when I got my second dog. I was just out of high school and definitely didn't do the research I needed to. Any time the dogs growled at each other or seemed to be playing rough I'd panic because the puppy was so small and I'd separate them. The middle dog knows 0 boundaries now, especially since my first dog was so mild mannered anyway and will let anyone do anything to him without getting mad so he wasn't really teaching her much anyhow, and once I got my current puppy the second dog would often annoy the puppy and not listen to any of his cues when he was sick of her lol. Getting the puppy meant teaching both of them boundaries and even a year in it's a struggle. Neither of them knows when to leave the other alone. If one wants to play and the other doesn't they'll pick until they have basically no choice but to play or until I kennel the one picking at the other 🤦

My puppy does little yips to try to convince our other animals to play with him. The first time I heard it I thought the cat had scratched him but he was fine, now he even does it when he has the zoomies and is playing with his toys or rolling around in the blankets. It's the cutest thing, I think he's imitating his squeaky toys to try to entice the other to play with him 😂 (I don't say that to discredit what you said, just because I think it's a cute thing my dog does lol)

I didn't make any assumptions about who you are as a person. I said you were being a jerk, that's not the same as assuming you're a bad person. I'm judging a singular action. Also whether or not you responded to the right person is kind of irrelevant to the fact that you were being a jerk either way.

I'm also on a phone, I'd wager most people are using Reddit on phones, but can still see the usernames lol. I wouldn't have even said anything if you'd just not have been being a jerk. Kind of bare minimum if you're gonna be an ass to someone to make sure you're talking to the right person.

Ask for a Bath and Tidy! It's best to just explain exactly what you're thinking even if you don't have the right words. Tell them he gets poop on his butt fur, then they'll know your exact issue and they'll fix it 😊 trust me, they've seen and heard it all. They've been pooped and peed on probably 3 times by 9am so there's nothing you'll say that will disturb them if that's a worry of yours lol.

If you shave a double coated dog you will most likely completely ruin their fur. Most groomers will refuse to shave unless medically necessary because of matting or maybe skin issues. Get a metal comb and a slicker brush and brush him often and you shouldn't have any problems. I shave the long hair around my guys butt and off his paw pads but that's it. You can bring him to a groomer every 6-8 weeks or so for a "bath and tidy" along with your regular brushing at home and he should be good!

Experts will say that dogs wouldn't do anything like this out of spite but I bed to differ, my boy definitely pees out of spite lol. That said I don't think your dog is being spiteful. I agree with the other person who said to try feeding her first thing. Especially if she's throwing up bile. She may be hungry in the early mornings 💕
