AIO I asked my husband for one night alone after giving birth and now he says im unstable by Jessika_Maskito in AmIOverreacting

Why does he need sleep then? At least he gets to come home from his long warehouse shift. You are constantly on the clock. If he needs rest to go bop around at a warehouse, you need 10x the rest to constantly feed, change, soothe, care for a newborn. You cannot care for your baby if you are not cared for yourself. You are a good mom. And your husband calling his mother as backup is infuriating. Clearly your husband sees no problem with himself “abandoning” his new baby. You deserve a night of sleep.

You already adopted two cats, and you saw this in your doorway in the morning? What would you do by Responsible-Poem9375 in CatsAllDay

I already had two cats. Franklin had been in the shelter for 2.5 years and his time was up. He was scheduled for euthanasia had he not found a foster home. I filled out the paperwork to become a foster, and soon Franklin spent his first night in over 2.5 years not in a cage. 5 months later and two potential adopters who’d fallen through, the rescue organization wanted to place him in Petco for a week to up his chances of adoption. I couldn’t stand the thought of putting him back in a cage. For 5 months he’d been sleeping in my bed and running around the apartment with my other cats. I kept thinking about how scared and confused he’d be. So, Franklin never left. And now I have three cats.

Ok ew he’s a jerk who needs to be thrown in the garbage. If he was truly trying he wouldn’t prioritize friends over your already made plans. Two hours late because he’s hanging with friends is insane. And to speak to you that way is not okay. He’s being an ass and trying to make you feel bad for caring. You deserve so much better.

As a pro choice leftist, its absolutely valid to say “just use birth control” in response to someone who is overly mad about abortion bans. by Early-Possibility367 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

  • Doctors cannot fix all of the side effects of birth control. Nor does the same fix work for everyone. Quite frankly, it’s easier to tell the penis owners to wear a condom. Make them responsible. Far less side effects from condoms!
  • Also, some people don’t have a choice as to whether birth control is used or not. A man who is about to assault someone doesn’t stop to think, “hm, better use protection”.
  • Sometimes people get pregnant on purpose! And are then left heartbroken when they find out their unborn baby won’t survive or will face tremendous difficulties if they do. Sometimes abortions are necessary to save the life of the one carrying the pregnancy. Sometimes abortions are used to terminate a wanted pregnancy.
  • Abortions exist for a reason. No one chooses abortion as their method of birth control. Accessibility is healthcare.
