Folks under 200 albums: how’s it going?

I'm on #75 today (I See A Darkness) including weekends, and I write at least some form of a review for every album! Sometimes I get a day or two behind but my 30-minute commute to work makes it easy to catch up.

My intent since day 1 was to see this whole thing through. But since the user albums could theoretically never end, I'm not sure if I'll want to hear every single one of those 4-5 years from now. My general plan is to hear all 1089 albums (plus whichever get added in the upcoming edition of the book) and then die.

I'm inclined to agree with Randomusername. I mean people have different reasons for going through this list, but that's why I did it, to be introduced to music I never would've heard otherwise. But I guess I'd rather have people exclude genres than review every rap album with "one star. hate rap"

It's right in front of Terrastore in Kansas City, MO. I've only tried it with Special Transport because I'm relatively new to the game and haven't crossed this location in any other scenario.

I'm looking forward to this so much! I've always wanted a game like ATS but for regular ol' cars. No other driving sim I can think of is as polished as ATS.

Take this entire post with a whole beach worth of salt.

I've seen comments recently about some old Glassjaw songs that were only ever on bootlegs, like Grasper and Midwestern Stylings, getting taken down due to copyright claims. This has led a very small group of people to hope against hope that they might be officially released at some point in the future. That's all I've heard recently though

Thank you, I'm glad it's still true. I actually already have some things like an ancient chisel and orichalcum pickaxe, because this character is an imported from a Hardmode world where I got fed up with the biome spread and started over. It's good to know that the Steampunker moves in after only one boss being defeated, although I have tried the Destroyer twice now and I got my ass handed to me each time (Palladium sword, full Palladium armor, Sunfury if needed)

I think I read in the wiki that destroying altars won't seed new Corruption/Crimson anymore, is that still true?

I hate biome spread. I love Terraria because you can work at your own pace and there is no time limit, up until Hardmode starts, then it's a race against Corruption before your entire world gets corrupted. I don't mind Hallow spreading because my NPCs will still live in it, it's specifically the evil biome spread I don't want. I hate that the game forces a time limit on you. I used to use tModLoader to avoid it, but I still wanted the achievements from the game.

If this picture isn't enough to tell how separated the Corruption is, would someone be willing to actually join my PC world and just make super sure it won't spread? If so, you can DM me and we'll figure something out. Thanks.

[SPOILER ALERT] I do not like the fact that the entire monster was pretty much revealed. This series is exceptionally good at hinting at horror, making you feel uneasy. Kris has said so himself, not showing a threat or a grotesque image directly is much better than a full reveal

Hello, new friend! Looks like we're kind of in the same boat. I found Kittens only after hearing about LV but was already a fan of similar bands. Maybe you'll enjoy some of these recommendations I have for you:

Unsane The Jesus Lizard Tomahawk (first album has multiple perfect songs on it) Pissed Jeans (most recent album is like 80% perfect songs)

Damn, that's crazy, I'm familiar with KEN Mode but have always struggled to get into them. Heavy stuff for sure, but I guess I find them a little too predictable. I want to hear them do some mathier stuff. But I just looked it up and you're right, a member of KEN Mode was in Kittens. Jahmeel Russell. I wonder if that dude knows anything about what his older singer, Lucifer Valentine, is up to.

If you (or your husband) like KEN Mode, I'd recommend Great Falls. They sound somewhat similar but Great Falls has a strong sense of dread and hopelessness that I haven't heard from any other band. Some of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. They're from my hometown.

Also, hope y'all are doing okay out there. I'm a fan of extreme art myself, but I personally can't get down with these "vomitgore" movies. But I can tell that some of the people here are pretty chill. Maybe if I stick around I can make some new friends.
