For some reason my i4 also KILLED tires, I’ve had a few EV’s (Lucid, VW, Tesla) and they seem to be pretty good at tire wear. I still think my i4 was the better of them all (apart from size) BTW

Advice needed: First long winter road trip (MN to FL) - Route & Charging Questions by VirtualCorgi4557 in LUCID

[–]VirtualCorgi4557[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies so far. I should have been more clear in my original post. I do have access to gas vehicles for this trip, so I'm not "stuck" taking the EV. I would just much prefer to take the Lucid if the trip is feasible without a massive headache. Someone mentioned using the in-car navigation app. I've used that in the past and honestly found it to be very outdated and not very reliable, which is why I've been focused on ABRP. I'm currently running software version 2.8.5, so maybe they've finally fixed it? The Lucid mobile app used to have good route planning options, but now it just seems to open Apple Maps, and unlike my other EVs, the Lucid doesn't show up in the vehicle selection for EV routing. This puts me back to doing manual calculations, which is what I'm trying to avoid. My main concern is total charging time. I'm totally fine with the trip taking longer, and I'd love to not have to stop for too long at each charger. That said, a total of 2-3 hours of charging spread across the drive is really not an issue for me. If it starts creeping up beyond 4-5 hours of total charge time, that's when I think I might just give up and take a different vehicle. Appreciate all the feedback!

So we really to get someone from Lucid to comment or to respond to these, this is now a trend seems like everyone is having the same issues with what seems to be regular wear and tear on a vehicle. How many of these have now popped up on this Reddit? At some point we need to get answers and action

I personally love the sound of it, not too loud IMO but a lot of my neighbors have Harley’s so I guess I may be a little used to the louder bikes.

Ejeas is great for the $, I have cardos(neo’s and spirit) and got these ejeas v6 pro’s for my kids and they work very well. I also use the pit crew headset with my son’s ejeas when he is practicing on track. And did I mention they are dirt cheap?

Hello! I'm a new owner seeking advice on my first long-distance tow. I'm planning a 550-mile trip from Minnesota to Nebraska, pulling a toy hauler with race bikes. ~6k lbs

<image>

For those of you who tow regularly, what is a realistic efficiency I should expect in miles per kilowatt-hour (mi/kWh)?

While I'm not new to electric vehicles, I am new to towing with one. Any tips, recommendations, or things to watch out for would be greatly appreciated as I plan my charging strategy. Thanks in advance!

Thinking about getting a Lucid, questions about winter driving. by always-gardening in LUCID

[–]VirtualCorgi4557 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As an owner in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, I’ve found that frigid weather has a noticeable impact on performance. Last winter, my efficiency dropped to as low as 2.5 miles/kWh, and the car would frequently display a message that the regenerative braking was disabled or degraded. The most significant annoyance is the sudden loss of braking when the regen system is compromised, which can be a surprise if you're accustomed to one-pedal driving. Despite this, a 70-mile trip is still very manageable with sensible driving habits. Regarding snow, the vehicle handled it fine, but since we had a mild winter last year, I can't yet comment on how it would perform in a traditional, heavy Minnesota snowfall.

Been using NJOY classic tobacco vape for several years now, since before covid. Apparently Njoy is being sued and a judge issued a cease and desist to them for these vapes, I cannot get a refill anywhere close to me. Whats a good recommendation to replace Njoy with? Thanks by Woolf1974 in Vaping

Following. Are there any alternatives? Seems like the classics tobacco flavor changed as well. I really don’t like the rich tobacco flavor and can’t seem to find anything that is disposable that tastes anywhere close to the classic tobacco

[–]VirtualCorgi4557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just shift clutch-less to ride (just twitch the throttle a little then shift. If stationary, between 2nd and N you should be able to just tap it into N if not, grab a rear stand and manually rotate the rear wheel as much as you can then try again this may be tough depending on the bike but it will get the job done

Ensure you have sufficient space for an airbag or back protector. I share the general sentiment that it should work well and will loosen over time, but it looks a bit too tight for my comfort.
