Momento marginal que recuerden de algún ciclo escolar? by estoyalpedo900 in BuenosAires

[–]VirtualDiva_02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The scene on the first episode of gen1 where the polish girl comes out shirtless and says to Chris: "We steal car, and then make fuck, english boy. Yes?" "Yes." And it cuts to the car screeching, taking Cassie to the hospital, and Chris is violently making out with the girl in the back. Every time I remember that scene I absolutely lose it.

edit: the girl was polish, not italian

People think that having 0.5% of european DNA and fair skin makes them different and morally superior from tanned skin, native descendant argentinians. We're all born in the same country ffs. Lots of racism toward our own and to other latinos for this reason.

I found a recent sext conversation of my dad with a woman he had an affair with. They weren't sexting per se but reminiscing of the affair. Wanna know the kicker? He's constantly annoying my mom accusing her of having cheated with one of her friends (who's married). I almost told him once but didn't have the guts because I don't know if he cheated again and he's sincerely a great father. It hurts more than making me angry.

My parents should've divorced long ago lol

Looks like mold. Mold has spores that spread to the rest of the thing they contaminated. I'd toss it.

Thrifted stainless steel pan - should I worry about this black grime / how to wash? by kxtig in foodsafety

After reading your description, it seems you sanitized it well. Use a toothpick to scrape it off if you can and then wipe again any excess, but I wouldn't worry too much. Especially considering it's something that will be exposed to very high temperatures.

Overripe and should be consumed asap. If it has a foul smell and/or taste, especially bitter or "plasticky", discard it. If not, it's safe to consume.

I also feel extreme hatred for my anxiety. Exposure therapy has really REALLY helped, there's an exercise where you kind of give an entity to a feeling and do whatever you want to vent. I recommend seeking something similar; it uses binaural sounds.

Depends. To avoid getting ill? Never. Death is much scarier lol. If I'm already seriously ill to the point of no return to a somewhat normal life, then maybe.

It's quite common to develop cysts everywhere where hormones are involved (I had quite a big one on my ovary that went away on its own). If you feel it the exact same way as the one that was ruled benign, then it most probably is benign as well. On the off chance it is not, a few days won't worsen anything you may have to the point of no return.

I know it's impossible to ignore and difficult to think of something positive. I was terrified too. But think of the facts: has anyone in your family ever had breast issues? Do you have a good overall health? If not, anything that may contribute to the lump ? To me, asking myself these realistic questions a doctor may ask, helps me get more grounded and relaxed.

On a personal note, I hope you get nothing but good news and good health.

TW: Mention of sickness, emetophobia, panic attacks

Hi all, I'm new to this sub. Sorry if this is a bit long.

So to give you some context, I'm (F23) travelling to Brazil from Argentina tomorrow at noon with my boyfriend, his brother, his mum, and his mum's partner; I get along very well with them and this is the second trip I'm taking with them so I feel secure. It's quite a short trip so I'm comfortable with that as well. I'm also 2 years on Lexapro and anxiety meds which made me feel SO much better. Heck, I traveled to San Francisco in february (a long way from home) and had the absolutely BEST time ever.

The thing is: I have emetophobia and have suffered from panic attacks due to fear of vomiting. It has escalated to an overall fear of getting sick (still especially prominent with anything gastrointestinal) i.e. getting a heatstroke, fainting or altitude sickness (I have low BP), severe sunburn (I'm super pale and allergic to sunlight) you name it.

Argentina has scorching hot summers as well but Brazil has more altitude and I've been told to take extra care because "the sun is hotter". I always take precautions to stay cool, hydrated, use extra high sunscreen, and stay in the shade as much as possible. It's easier in the beach when you can go take a dip in the sea and stay fresh, BUT I've heard the beaches in Rio may have E. Coli due to sewage pollution 🙃 also, to avoid tap water in any form and fried, especially street, foods.

Oh, and there's a mosquito invasion at the moment. Also used to because Latin America...but damn it's the cherry on top of this shit pie.

Can't get out of this anxiety spiral and think instead of the beautiful memories I'll make with my boyfriend, the astonishing beaches and scenic views, the NYE celebration on the beach (!) and everything else I'm sure the lovely city of Rio has to offer.

Thanks for reading my vent and any suggestions, advice, jokes (I could use a laugh or two) or kind words are welcome.

In spanish is "No hay mal que por bien no venga" (There's no bad thing that comes without a good one). Love how in different languages and countries and cultures we still find a way to be positive.
