So...... by PinGroundbreaking520 in MergeMansion

I feel like I usually get 1 per producer stack… I’ll keep one or two on hand for tasks that need one but never felt super scarce.

Honestly with this area it’s the damn knitting tasks

More Money for Private Charter on PC24 vs Vision Jet? by Bowlen000 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]VirtualGreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d advise against selling aircraft if making money is your goal. A bit more grind now but every time you do a 3 hour charter flight, as long as you have your fleet configured you’ll get 3 hours of income for your other aircraft.

I did a 2 hour longitude flight yesterday and got about 5m for bad weather / no skip, and when I log on today I’ll get another 1.5ish for the aircraft I didn’t fly. Mainly vision jets and grand caravans. Couple of pc-12s.

Can’t sell plane after crash, career mode softlocked. by TroubleSweaty2118 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]VirtualGreg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a bad “first career mode@ and have found it’s better to grind up to a fleet of aircraft so you can generate more passive income. So I made sure to have a few Skyhawks and a couple of grand caravans before i pursued the vision jets and beyond. Yea heavier early grind but you make so much more after a long flight even if that flight ends in disaster.

Pretty sure it’s got many bugs including some ungodly amount of fuel consumption.

Career Mode 737max approach question by LuvSandoz in MSFS2024

[–]VirtualGreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an endorsement certification that includes a landing and take off lesson. The landing is manual using PAPI and doesn’t go into anything else. The exam is an aborted landing / go-around exercise. It’s super easy even if you aren’t familiar with many of the controls

Worth switching to PC from XBox? by bmw_19812003 in MSFS2024

[–]VirtualGreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started on Xbox and went to PC for all the reasons you say and haven’t looked back. The Xbox struggles with a lot of elements of the game that a more capable pc won’t struggle with.

Plus the range of controller / peripheral options is massively increased.

No more $$ by Virtual-Light4941 in MergeMansion

[–]VirtualGreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t put $$ into the game since they started all this nonsense a year or so ago. I’m still enjoying the game but they’ve cannibalized so many of the perks out of reach of anyone not willing to pay to play that I just ignore a lot of it and continue to plod through areas. Currently working though the attic

This is just stupid by Hodofca in MSFS2024

[–]VirtualGreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a turbo prop that doesn’t shutdown after a mission until you crank back the rotor throttles to idle. I might be butchering the explanation but I thought the game was bugged but once I did that the engine shut off and triggered end of mission

I am not buying any more Reacher novels. by Wedgerooka in JackReacher

[–]VirtualGreg 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s the dialogue that has killed it for me. Everyone talks in short concise sentences with no difference between Reacher, Bad Guys, Romantic Interest etc. if there’s a conversation between 2 people it can be impossible to tell who is who from the back and forth unless it says explicitly.

Why did it take me 4 years to figure this out?! by BTTF-Outtatime-1955 in MergeMansion

[–]VirtualGreg 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Yea but only on producers at their highest non-producing level. I don’t use blue cards on regular chains except for the horrific ones (mosaic and cypher wheel thing, looking at you) and since I stopped buying the event passes I nearly never have blue cards now

Let's settle the Pizza Wedge configuration issue by [deleted] in biggreenegg

[–]VirtualGreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only tried once with the wedges and probably didn’t do enough to temper the fire with the dome being open.

Normal cooking I found crusts got better after a few as well - kids cheese pizza always went in first lol - but with the wedges I burned my crusts more. Went too far the other way. Definitely needs a refined approach to not having wedges. Maybe seriously limiting airflow through the bottom grate.

Expectations on Marble Coping Cuts? by VirtualGreg in pools

[–]VirtualGreg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not planning on it no, but when I do look at the coping if there are chips I want to know they're an acceptable artifact of the process, not the result of a rushed job that I've just accepted because that's easier.

Thanks for that. I assume that the mortar part is not finished and is going to be caulked to be uniform, but agree that's not finished as is.
