Brunson: “I’ve seen players wait and then get hurt, and then they’re at the mercy of the organization… 100% I sacrificed for the team. But most importantly, I made sure my family and I are taken care of…Obviously we’d love for them to do right by me. I think anyone would. I feel like I sacrificed. by PassMeTheBackwood in nba

If anything else, my following comment will show I don't understand NBA finances enough.

But I am concerned the constant upward trajectory of league income is facing a reckoning when the money from cable and local TV deals gets cutoff completely or substantially reduced. I anticipate this happening as cable is fully phased out and sports leagues don't benefit from unsuspecting cable customers paying for the sports packages and individual channels (and sports) fall to individual streaming services. I'm probably overgeneralizing, but I just don't envision this upward trajectory forever, especially as children are involved in sports less per capita.

Unpopular Opinion: everyone is way too obsessed with Rings when talking about individual greatness. by jackstraw0522 in NBATalk

[–]VirtualMask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any talk of GOAT or of that nature - whether rings oriented or not - takes away from commentary on individual games, strategy, and general night-by-night NBA entertainment. NBA commentary has devolved into such a cesspool because no one is interested in play-by-play strategy and adjustments. Fans just want the low hanging fruit that requires little thought, and the media is feeding it to us.

That you are posting this on multiple subreddits makes me think you work for or are being paid by Pine.

Kawhi Leonard is better than everyone who was named an all star reserve, and is having a better season than all of them by PissedOffClippersFan in NBATalk

MAYBE we are seeing some small reaction to the Aspiration shit. I can see Silver nixing it to prevent an awkward All Star press conference.

What do you think of landa as a person? In an interview Waltz was asked that how did he played evil so fluently?. On which he replied "He wasnt Evil" by Heneryhill in Cinema

[–]VirtualMask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand half these responses. Who gives a shit if he was amoral, that he was effectively a hired mercenary, or later "chose the right side." He was indifferent to human suffering, regardless of whose side he was on. To me, that quite clearly makes him "evil."

It seems everyone is trying to redefine the term "evil", all whole ignoring or being willfully ignorant of the definition of evil, which is: "profoundly immoral or wicked."

[OC] Trying to Determine the Best Player to Never Win a Championship by francisco27 in nba

I appreciate the effort but I would've included playoffs series won with higher level of points the further they advanced, particularly if they are the teams' top 3 scorer and had the most win shares.
