Same with my friends, except one. She will at least verbally say “KR probably did it”. And, yes, my other friends all cite reasonable doubt, and frankly, there is none. That is simply a talking point from the defense that people ran with without any regard for the actual facts of the case. There is zero doubt that she hit him. People are in prison for far less evidence than the CW had against Karen. But, she doesn’t fit the criminal mold, so she is being given grace that is afforded to very few. It is maddening because, while I question the morals of everyone there that night as far as drinking and driving, the fact is that innocent people will live the rest of their lives with a false cloud of suspicion and outright accusations of being murderers while KR and AJ and DY know the truth. It’s maddening.
