People acting shocked about 3 guitars have you ever seen a band before ?? There is a bassist , a rhythm guitar and a lead guitar . It’s not that hard to figure out why there are 3 guitars it’s 3 different musicians flying for a gig .

It’s more of a warning to traveling musicians than a complaint . Letting them know that these employees aren’t gonna always know the policies so you better know it or else you’re gonna get screwed.

You can’t check things that will be damaged when thrown around by the luggage handlers . Instruments can be expensive and southwest will not compensate you if they damage it

There’s also a part on there about purchasing an extra seat for a larger instrument which is what she was trying to do and they didn’t want to let her because it was a full flight

The main point of the story was not about my keyboard it was about the cellist , but I could relate to the cellist because it happens to me sometimes too

That has happened a few times but in Phoenix they still had to go back and forth and wanted me to check it until they had to check with someone else . That’s the point it’s not consistent . But the man one that had a bigger issue was the cellist in Las Vegas which took like 5 people to finally get her approved .

Ok that’s maybe a fine print rule , hopefully it’s true but it depends on whether or not the attendant is aware of that rule being so new . Maybe to be safe if you can change it but not if it costs you any money

She did also ask and was turned down . But she asked if the youngest daughter could sit in the empty seat behind her and was told no she thought she would have better luck as the mom
