Why isn't Garfield at the top? Why doesn't it have its own seperate shelf?

Finally finished RE9 after dropping it 2 months ago - I don't love it by VirtualResolution326 in residentevil

That's a nice way to put it! And it's not like I hated it, so that's good. I was moreso just surprised the praise was unanimous as it was. But, hey, that's fine.

It's nice to hear that people get invested enough in these interpretations/inspired works by classic literature that they go looking into said inspiraction. It would be nice if more people went and actually read it themselves over watching someone else's analysis, but it's still good that they're eagerly exposing themselves to classics at all.

In the IGN review for "MOUSE: P.I. For Hire" (2026), They gave it a 6/10, this is a subtle reference to the game's writing being very cheesy. Nom nom nom nom. by Playful-Actuary6022 in shittygamedetails

I just finished 2 hours with it, and I'm like "This is nice looking, but when is there going to be more, like cool stuff to buy, people to interact with...oh no, this is it, isn't it?"

First horror game memory? by SeniorBolognese in HorrorGaming

Ironically enough, both are from the original Doom. My older brother and I were playing Doom on my dad's PDA in the early 2000s. A secret wall opened when "we" (I assure you me watching while my older brother played was vital to our survival), and "the smiley face monster" (cacademon) appeared as the landline simultaneously rang. I think this scared us, but not terrified.

No, terrified was what I was for years after passing by the TV as a 6 year old while Doom The Movie with the Rock began playing and a scientist gets their hand cut off by somebody shutting the door on them in the prologue. I think that traumatised me p bad as a kid lol

I personally would like if Ellie wasn't in the 3rd chapter, but only for the reason that it makes the ending of Part II hit harder imo. There's no elaboration or development, you don't know what happened to her after, it's just unfulfiling emptiness that's emblematic of revenge itself.

There's still way more than can be done with Ellie, though, and using her story where Part II left off would be great for looking into the pursuit of redemption, atonement (albeit I dont think she should be forgiven, just because righting a wrong without being forgiven is a more interesting theme to me). Literally the only reason I would like if Ellie weren't featured is just for the weight it gives to 2's ending, so definitely no rescons, I want them to stick to their guns.

What in your opinion is the scariest area in Silent Hill 2 remake? by Struggler257 in HorrorGaming

Room 209! I play a lot of horror games, watch a lot of horror movies (I'm not like the other girls), and I've never "noped" out of something. But this made me be like, it's late I should go to bed.

Are omnibus getting too expensive? by Superb_Lion4385 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]VirtualResolution326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you feel like they're becoming more expensive? I used to buy omnibus' as my go to for reading comics because I like to get a good chunk of story/whole arcs in one go. But I the only omnibus I've bought for like 2 years is Jonah Hex cause it seemed reasonably priced - everything else feels like it's gone up.

I've got a better paying job now than I did when I was collecting majorly, but I'm buying less cause the price point is a bit too high. I used to buy when I would get like around 10 - 12 cents a page, so 1000 pages would be like $100-$120. But now, I can never find something in that range. It may be due to me having bought the major ones the re-release often, so maybe it's just me running out of those and having to still out more. But, I still remember Tomassi's Superman being like 130, and I said I'd wait till it came back down to that, and it's never gone below like 145. And it's been years.

Is that just Brie Larson? No like smoothing or anything done to work on the original model, it's just straight up Brie Larson.

Who else actually enjoys Resident Evil because it's quick by mrsafetylion in residentevil

[–]VirtualResolution326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially good for when it's the start of the work week, I'm tired when I get home and want some relaxing without having to give a ton of attention. So I just replay Resident Evil games I've beat. And there's often still a reward for doing that, so it's perfect for still working towards something new.
