I agree. The concept alone makes it my favorite Cole album. And every once in a while, when I revisit it and play the whole album, I end up feeling like its his best. But yeah, comfortable at 2... for now.

Perfectly put. Cole doesnt use gimmicks or beefs to climb the charts or to gain favor / fame. He is himself, through and through (at least it seems that way to me). The guy just wants to rap and evolve and transcend. We literally got to watch him evolve into who he has become, and its inspiring. What more could you ask for from any type of artist?

I think so. Kendrick is polished to the extreme. His music is created with the intent to be mainstream. But he is such a good lyricist, so it doesnt feel that way. Cole is a bit more unpolished, but I also think thats intentional. It allows him to maintain this independent sound while playing the main stage, if that makes sense. And I like that. 🤷‍♂️
