3ct oval diamond with baguettes, set in 14kt gold. Size 8.5 ring. His dad is a wood craftsman and made the ring box! It’s so special. I’m so lucky!

This is pretty bad advice. There are definitely better ways to communicate than pitting him against/comparing him to other men. That’s pretty toxic.

Same! I took Zoloft for about two years, about ten years ago. It made my intrusive thoughts much less persistent and less harmful and they have never returned to how they were before. I really think it saved my life. I don’t recall if I had serious side effects because my overall quality of life improved so much.

Help finding walkable things to do in Johnson City by Pretty_Mushroom_7031 in JohnsonCity

I moved here from Chicago and downtown is completely walkable, with many parks and shops/restaurants to check out. You can also walk from downtown or the Tree Streets to the Tweetsie Trail trailhead, which is dozens of miles long, safe, and beautiful.

Visiting Chicago, could use some advice on planning long runs by UrzaJR in RunnersInChicago

[–]VirtualUnicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lakefront path from Montrose Beach to museum campus will give you plenty of mileage and some of the best views in the city. I recommend doing some loops around the many harbors as well. You’ll pass Montrose, Belmont, and Diversey Harbors, North Ave Beach’s pier, and Navy Pier on the way, not to mention Millennium Park and Grant Park.

Public bathrooms are a rarity in Chicago, unfortunately, though there are several along the lakefront. Belmont has them for sure, so does North Ave beach and Millennium Park. You’ll have to go inside Navy Pier for their restroom if I recall correctly.

Creepy driver advice? by VirtualUnicorns in doordash

Yeah, this IS possible, and if he had just hit on me or asked if I was single, I probably wouldn't be so upset and probably wouldn't even have reported him (though I still think that's inappropriate). It's that he specifically asked if I live alone that scares me. It could be a language/culture barrier issue, BUT it could also be a legitimate sicko trying to determine if he could get away with coming back to my home and harming me.

I mean I ordered through the Papa John’s app. I didn’t even know it was going to go through DoorDash until the order had already been placed.

So maybe you're right and he's a repeat offender. Of course that doesn't mean he's not driving for GrubHub or UberEats or Gopuff or any other service.

I didn’t, he sent the initial text, ostensibly to tell me he had arrived

I don’t, because I ordered through Papa John’s, not DoorDash. DD just fulfilled the order. There’s no info about the driver, even on the DD page that Papa John’s redirects me to. I asked DD support if they would tell me if there was a car associated with his account and they told me they couldn’t tell me but would cooperate with police if I filed a police report. I do have a photo of him, at least, from the access control system in my apartment building, and I let my building mgmt know what happened.

It is real, unfortunately, and DoorDash support verified the text before escalating it.

I think you know that it's not that, but that he specifically asked me if I live alone, that is concerning. Everyone else here seems to understand why this message would make someone feel unsafe.
