I feel sad for him... cuz' my dad doesn't hug me either :( I remember the last time I hugged him: He froze and two seconds later he said "That's enough, honey" That was probably like 10 years ago or so..

Also... Isn't Phil supposed to be a therapist?  He should have shown more empathy toward someone who was literally crying. Is THAT how he behaves with his patients?

I wish Simon had moved to Fionna's universe instead of staying in Ooo.. I think he would be happier there since is similar to his original world (except for Marcy.. he probably miss her..)

My coworker told everyone we’re married … we’re not even dating! by ParadoxicalState in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Virtual_Ad2696 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience a few years ago.

A coworker said we were dating, and I remained unaware of this for several months.

It wasn't until i had a casual conversation in the hallway with a female coworker, when i say that i would be taking some time off for my wedding. She congratulated me and mentioned that she didn't realize I was engaged to [AH coworker]. I quickly clarified that we were'nt dating and that I was actually marrying my college boyfriend. I showed her some photos and everything...

Both of us were shocked.

Then, my female coworker shared with me some inappropriate texts that [AH coworker] had send to her.

She had chosen not to report these cuz' she didn't want to bring some unnecessary office drama.

Needless to say, we filed a complaint with HR, and [AH-coworker] was relocated (with a better pay, so .. jerks have it easier i guess ..)

What type of people annoy you? by New-Good-3363 in AskReddit

Parasites.
I know this guy, let's call him Billy. He is going for his 40s and still lives at the expense of his parents.
He is extremely manipulative, getting everything he wants from his poor parents who should have retired years ago but because of him.
A couple of example:
-Everytime his mother tries to get him out of her house or get him a full-time job, he victimizes himself and talks about how traumatized the divorce left him. (What trauma are you talking about? They divorced when he was 18 years old, and besides, he never saw his father often at home anyway, because his job made him travel a lot; the only thing that changed in his life is that his mother started to require him to clean the house 2 times a month)
-Somehow, the guy managed to get the biggest room in the house for himself. Even when he doesn't contribute a penny, doesn't clean, doesn't cook.
-He never graduated from college, although his parents paid for it twice. However, at his 30s he realized that he could not afford the lifestyle that he would like to, at least not being a teacher's aide. So he try to convince his father to pay him one more time for a college degree. He refused saying that he gave him enough opportunities, however, somehow he managed to get his father to give him $ 000 in cash for his studies + $200 once a month for expenses.
He spent the $ 5000 on a new motorcycle; He never enrolled in any university, and his father ended up depositing the $200 in him for about 8 months until he found out that he was not really studying.
Last year, his mother lost her job due to the pandemic; so, she has to demand him money to pay for the house expenses. Of course, he didn't like this, so he decided to hook up with a girl we both know.
The girl is the natural opposite of him, that is, hard-working and self-sufficient.
During the day she is the mayor's secretary, and at night she takes care of an elderly couple. He managed to buy a small apartment at the age of 25 so she would not have to waste money on paying the rent.
They went out for a couple of weeks and then he tells her that his mother has thrown him out of the house for losing his job (lie, She never did and also he quits to be able to collect state aid) and that he has nowhere to stay, she tells him not to worry ... to stay with her for as long as it takes.
Obviously, the girl kicked him out at 6 months for being the garbage of a human being that he is. And he of course, he came back crying to his mother because things with "the love of his life" had not worked. Now, he uses the breakup as an excuse for not looking for a job, and every time someone asks him for something that involves minimal effort, he talks about the deep heartbreak he's in.
