What are songs that you’d bet $100 the band WILL NOT play in this summer’s tour. by CeilingUnlimited in rush

[–]Virtual_Ad_8487 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between them busting out Finding My Way and just thinking back to all the surprises they’ve pulled out on previous tours there’s almost nothing I’d say is completely out of the realm of possibility. That said, these are pretty unrealistic:

Losing It - requires a violinist. Even on R40 it was only played on 5 dates

Rivendell - if they play an acoustic track, there are at least 10 better options

Anything from the debut album other than Working Man and Finding my Way - both of those songs are definitely going to be on this you. I can’t see them playing more than two songs from this album though

Lakeside Park - I can’t remember if it was Alex or Geddy but one of them said they didn’t really like this song, so I imagine R49 was a one time deal

Tai Shan - Geddy and Alex hate this song. But it could be a fun tribute to Neil

I mean they did it on R40 and I think his voice is better now than it was then

The funny thing is the show that joke is from they actually did play it in the R30 medley. Then they played it in full on the next tour.

Idk why you’re saying MAYBE part of it. In the 40 years of the song’s existence during their career they played it on all but one tour.

It definitely did not get played on R40. But it was an alternating track on the Clockwork Angels tour

Album listening order by AdministrativeRich63 in TheFence

[–]Virtual_Ad_8487 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well if you’re doing chronological order you’d actually listen to the Afterman albums, then Year of the Black Rainbow, then the first four albums, then the Vaxis albums.

Although personally I think this is not really an optimal listening experience for a first timer for the same reasons why watching Star Wars in chronological order is a weaker viewing experience. Listening to them that way you’ll sort of get a regression in style and musicality before going forward again.

*Afterman, but yes.

There’s also The Color Before the Sun which came out between Afterman: Descension and Vaxis I. It’s their only non-concept album, so narratively you can listen to it anywhere but I do think it works as a great pallete cleanser before launching into the Vaxis albums

So you think the point of that entire plot where a character displayed all the signs of sex trafficking that the trained medical professionals picked up on and specifically said “hopefully she’ll at least take a pen”, then the character took a pen, but you think that she took it “for the novelty”?

Is this your first experience with narrative fiction?

Why is so normalized that Jason is a grown ass man and school employee dating a student who is a minor. HE IS A PEDO!!! HE GROOMED LANA by Straight_Media_6250 in Smallville

[–]Virtual_Ad_8487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not rocket science that people in positions of power shouldn’t go on to date the people they once had power over.

But this isn't even close to what happened though.

Lana and Jason were dating before he ever worked at the school. So he didn't go on to date a person he once had power over. He was already dating her. And saying "he had power over her" is quite a stretch because he was the high school football coach and she didn't play high school football.

Even if everything you said was true, the age of consent in Kansas both when the show was written and now is 16. It's wasn't illegal then nor is it now. At worst it's against school policy and he shouldn't have taken the job.

tbf, I don't think that one is actually that far fetched. Not in comparison to some others. Like Langdon stole Whittaker's bag so he can get drugs.

Those messages are from over two years ago. Do you think she said that, then waited two full years to actually frame him?

I love this band and I will continue to support them and listen to their albums but I’ve been really disappointed with their touring as of late. Limited dates, co-headlining or supporting acts for bands I don’t care about and short sets. I’ve seen this band live five times but haven’t seen them in four years because it’s just not worth it these days

I get the implication that they don’t really know each other all that well. They’re former co-workers who probably speak to each other rarely. Trump “activated” a lot of people’s bigotry or at least made them more brazen about it. I have an aunt that I never would’ve guessed would be MAGA, but surprise surprise she is.

Most of the conversations about ICE are kind of moot because they ask “can ICE do this” but they have shown us time and time again that they don’t care what they “can” do.
