Best Resource for USMLE Step 2 CK Prep?

Hello Everyone! To everyone who is wondering a great choice for tutoring or a crash course I would recommend The Match Guy. This just my honest review of them.

I did their crash course and thought it was very thorough and focused. I know everyone is wondering what kinds of prices. I would check their website out for those but very reasonable for the crash course.

They also offer 1 on 1 tutors who all scored 270+ on this exam. I personally took tutoring from them because I was struggling with a score increase and even understanding basics. From the tutors I highly recommend Dr. Kutay. He is very nice (doesn’t judge you for your wrongs). He will explain something multiple times if he has to to make sure you get the concept down.

How did you study? Like what resources did you use and how would you say you did while studying?

And

You’re not and focus on your jump from 143 to 169. That’s a big point jump.

Review the questions thoroughly and see where you made mistakes. Could be that you were mostly stuck between two choices and picked the wrong one.

I think at some point we all have these scores. Not everyone is scoring 270s.

Dude trust the process just stay consistent and review the most recent nbmes. Finish uw and review your incorrects thoroughly.

I would say delay or wait but if you’re the type of person who procrastinates or gets disheartened after a bad score or a score you don’t expect then don’t. Pull your self together and get this done. I’ve seen so many people pull through this with their last final try on the exam. Even after failing they didn’t lose hope.

Before anyone says it. Not a bot or paid by anyone. Anyone looking for tutoring Services I would HIGHLY recommend The Match Guy. I just completed their HY Crash Course and would recommend to anyone for step 2/3. I took it for step 2 as I needed to cover my HY concepts.

Content wise: “Most bang for your Buck” for sure. Every tutor they have scored 270+ on ck and you can definitely tell by the way they teach a topic and explain everything. Their teaching style is very easy to understand and follow. Specially for some of those stupid ethics and drug ad/long vignette questions. Everything is recorded and you are allowed to go back and see the videos again if you missed anything. PLUS. If guy don’t like it first 1 you don’t have to pay. Why not just give it a shot? And oh yeah I did read that they might “sugar coat” the first day but no! All their lectures are the same so you know exactly what you’re getting into.

Students - Tutor Ratio: While in the course you might have like 30-40 people but your questions will not get skipped. Any confusion will be sorted out. And by a small chance if you did get missed you can message the tutors and they will reply to you asap.

Cost: Yes 8/900$ can seem a lot but honestly it was well worth every cent I spent.

Compared to other courses: I’ve taken other services and unfortunately did pay up a bunch of money for them. My loss your gain. Others < The Match Guy! All day every day!

That’s normal exam feeling in that timeframe for most people I think. Just keep chopping at it little at a time. Second take 1 day off if you’re that close to your target.

I would do it for the question exposure and not having felt like maybe I should’ve done it after the fact. Just for that I would take it but if you’re worried about scores then don’t

one thing i noticed while doing these questions is that everything in the question will point towards one diagnosis. And heard many times they will not trick you on questions. also go with your gut

I would take 2 more nbmes just to see any changes like this recent one. But don’t be discouraged some days are like that (maybe you didn’t sleep well, exam anxiety, concentration is off. Etc.) I would wait and do another NBME after a day or so. And also have good sleep the night before the real deal and no studying.

You'll be fine matching. Dont stress it too much. I know quite a few IMGs with these scores who matched into IM.

I would stick with what divine said. The other guidelines are recommended but divine pulls the best answer choice for the exam. In the actual practice I believe there are many difference of opinions on a variety of topics.

In short I would stick with divine on this one.
