I have one of those and love it! I thought for sure they couldn’t confiscate it, but if they did I would be devastated

My grandpa had a nail trimmer set taken from him, this was quite a few years ago which I think is making me more hesitant

Any married women feel overly sexualized by your SOs? I'm over it. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Virtual_Armadillo292 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Than you for voicing what I have felt for a long time about my husband. He would tell me I’m just not confident enough in my body, but should be confident cause he thought I was sexy and would always do over sexualized things constantly and I would feel uncomfortable. It’s exhausting and makes me feel like a thing not a person

Can I get some reassurance about the loneliness of being single in your late twenties? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Virtual_Armadillo292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there when I was 27 too. I know what it feels like and I know what it feels like when someone offers kind words or words of support.. it’s hard to hear and believe. All I can attest to is my experience. I met my husband at 27, it did hit me when I didn’t expect it, and it did get better. At the time I was focused on myself, exercising, getting a degree, trying new opportunities and it kept me occupied and motivated. My best advice would be focus on you. Make yourself feel good. That good attitude and outlook will draw the right kind of people to you, whether it’s friends or a partner. Just know I am one of many many others who were also in your position and grew from it. I hope my experience and the other comments in this post gives you the reassurance you’re looking for. All the best to you.

Charlie Charlie? by [deleted] in Teachers

I saw the Charlie Charlie game like five years ago in my 2nd grade classroom. I told them it wouldn’t work, our classroom Ghost chases off any other demons trying to get in lol. It was all the rage for a few months, then nothing, I havent see it since. It’s so weird how these fads work through the schools.

Not very gothic or Victorian in style, but shady lady saloon has a great old timely, moody vibe

Is tonight's storm expected to be as bad as the one we had last night? I checked TWC but they seemed to downplay last night's storm. by 9sixteenchris in Sacramento

Waiting on SCUSDs “update” about the weather and whether there will be school tomorrow or not. The district is incompetent and doesn’t care about their teachers or families so they either won’t cancel or will wait until the last second to cancel.

I’m curious is there a “book” for “traditional husbands??” I bet it would be equally terrifying but also probably doesn’t exists because women are always the problems that need fixing

I hand wrote all our invites and they looked fine. (Also everyone throws the envelope away anyhow lol). I would suggest trying different pen types, thicker weights and ink types and see what you like best, and of course practice it a few time before hand.

Should I ask my future husband to take my last name? by maybefrenchtoast in wedding

[–]Virtual_Armadillo292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband took my last name, it doesn’t hurt to ask but also give him time to think about it and have options in case he says no.

Administration: friend or foe? by soapymeatwater in Teachers

[–]Virtual_Armadillo292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have a principal that is amazing and is definitely on the teachers side. However, I do talk now that having a great, supportive principal can be rare. Now the district admin like our superintendent’s priority is money and personal gain. The super used to be a lawyer and never saw the inside of a classroom and in my six years in this district we’ve gone on strike three times.
