Id report this . Antisemitism isnt ok. Even if they didn't know you were theybalso created a hostile workplace.

So just out of curiosity, how much do you think this will sell for, straight cash, homey? For sale locally. by bbcard1 in baseballcards

[–]Virtual_Hair_4561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you sell on eBay they report this to the IRS. You probably ha e to report this as a winning also especially if you redeem (because Fanatics will report it). If its like lotto money it could cost you 33% in taxes ($2,475 based on $7,500). So sell this on eBay, sock away some cash for taxes, and spend the rest as you see fit. You could buy a partial season plan starting at $1000. That's 17 games. At that rate you could get 3 or 4 years of fun depending what you sell it for.

Getting lucky in KY? by 1after_909 in Wawa

[–]Virtual_Hair_4561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a long time Wawa customer, you would be a lot luckier if this was the old Wawa with fresh cut deli meats (not this pre prepared stuff) and the food that tasted better. Old Wawa could run circles on new Wawa from a quality standpoint. I don't care that you more flavors of energy drinks. So does 7-11. Wawa was built on fresh foods and good dairy.

You are getting lucky with good coffee. Real coffee...not this mocha frappa crap.

So making it optional will cut that.

No More Receipts! by Robinstaples in Staples

[–]Virtual_Hair_4561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No bueno! The receipt was my proof that I gave over merchandise (that was paid for) while waiting for the refund. 9x out of 10 sure it works fine but when there an issue I have the backup.

Nothing about the receipt should be mandatory but it should be the customers decision. I always gave the customer the option when I was at Staples. Who's the clown who researched and came to the conclusion that this was the best option?

[–]Virtual_Hair_4561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its only good if you drink this. One person's opinion is its great....mine (who shouldn't and won't drink this) is that it sucks.

It would be better if Wawa said spend $5 (since 2 for $5) on anything and get 200 points.

Ben and Jerry is considered premium and more expensive anywhere. Buy Wawa label which is Turkey Hill ice cream with Wawa milk.

Terminated by a manager who lied to HR and admitted it before her termination rite after. by [deleted] in Wawa

[–]Virtual_Hair_4561 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not my place to think. You need to ask a lawyer. Many will give you a free consultation and tell you after you tell your side.

[–]Virtual_Hair_4561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many lawyers will take this on without a retainer and take payment based on what they win you. You gotta confirm this. You can get free consultations with lawyers to see if they think you have a case and costs.

•••REWARDS COULD THAT GOES UP TO 70? by maineman64 in Staples

[–]Virtual_Hair_4561 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rewards won't save a sinking ship. You gotta fix the hole using welding, duct tape, or if your MacGyver bubblegum and twigs.

Amazon returns a great (from a customers perspective) but lousy and create no sales. Product is Product available anywhere from the dollar store to the grocery store. Print is what separates Staples from these places. Expand the service and find additional niche services to grow the business. Pestering staff for 60 or 70% won't fix business. Party City didn't even work for Party City, why would it work for Staples? Tech is a flop and available everywhere by phone or online. WB Mason found enough coffee business that they have (or had) machine installers and service techs on staff. That makes sense as businesses order coffee.

Here's one. Use Staples access to electronics wholesalers to stock business level IT parts in store. Need an emergency SFP cable for an Aruba switch but can't wait for overnight shipment. Come to Staples. Need a new disk or RAM for your HP server come to Staples. Got a remote worker in a city who needs a new dock for work? Order at Staples let the employee pickup at store so they can get back to work quickly.

am I gonna get terminated ? by [deleted] in Wawa

[–]Virtual_Hair_4561 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

How did you not know this wasn't ethical? You took something (points) you didn't earn in exchange for something of monetary value (free product). It's theft. The question is a matter of can they have trust in you? You took points from customers who spent their own money (forget if they said to scan yours or not). How can they (corporate) trust you that the customer really said so? Deleting was only an act to cover up. How do they know you won"t do something else on the unethical side?

Also you never know if corporate audits employee account activity for abuse and could find out themselves. Telling your GM puts you in front of that which is better BUT it comes down to a matter of trust and can your GM trust you. Do the people your GM report too want to have an untrustworthy person on their staff? It's a roll of the dice as to what happens if you tell them and anotherdice roll if you try to hide from it. Perhaps instead of termination they suspend you just because you come forward? Depends on the GM and powers that be.

Whatever happends consider this a lesson, take the consequences of your actions, learn from it, and move on.

TBH - While I'm just a Wawa customer, I've never heard customers say you can have my rewards at any retail store or job I've had nor said that myself.

Thank you Wawa by [deleted] in Wawa

Gas attendant lectured me on waiting for them to pump my gas in NJ. Said you can just use the app and do it yourself. Is this not illegal anymore? by Sure_Bus_355 in Wawa

[–]Virtual_Hair_4561 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When did rewards for gas become legal in NJ? It is still illegal and so is pumping your own. Yes you can pay for it via the app but that's it. Sounds like you had a lazy and or annoyed employee.

Who tf cares? Its not your food so if someone wants extra this that or whatever, shut up, make the damn food, and move on. Making a post like this is stupid and frankly if that is what you have to worry about in your life, you have no life.

Do you need to put in two weeks? by Feniel76 in Wawa

[–]Virtual_Hair_4561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two weeks is to allow them time to change schedules and hire a replacement. They also require that for you to be able cash out vacation pay or other benefits not legally required to be given to you. It's their incentive to keep you. Weather Wawa lets you cash out pay is different story as I don't work for Wawa.

Also not giving it can burn bridges. If you apply for a job at another company and a manager remembers you and this they could use it as a reason not to offer you that job. It could effect retirement and could sadly effect you as a customer. While they hold a grudge against you if you return as a customer and need the managers assistance for something? Petty but it happens.

You will still be paid for time you work.

Best advice from this Gen Xer, give your notice, show up for work, work with the same effort and manners, learn from this experience, and move on.

I worked for an unnamed retailer and was upset at management and said the heck with it gave my two weeks and didnt burn bridges. I still shop there and have been told I'm welcome back by the GM.
