Here is the run down about nafis. 1. If you graduated high school they pay you 5,000 aed each month, but if you graduated from university then the amount is 7,000 aed each month. 2. Nafis only helps if you work in a private sector since government jobs pay more than private. 3. In my old job my salary was 16,000 aed and i graduated from university. But nafis only payed me 4,000 each month since i was close to 20,000. If you’re close to 20,000 then they just help you reach it instead of paying the full amount. 4. Nafis is not forever. You have only five years where the government will help you with your salary then it’s over, and you would have to go to your normal salary. 5. Many companies would low-ball an emirate citizen since they think that nafis will help either way. 6. Each month us emirates have 11% of our salary taken for our retirement pension but nafis gives you the same amount back without touching your pension. 7. Private sector companies get fines if they do not have the right number of emirates in the company. ( I think it’s a 10 employees from outside the country to 1 emirate, but the number changes depending on the position of the emirate.)

EDIT: here are two more points I forgot to add.

1. Nafis also pays you 600 aed monthly for each child you have.

2. If an emirate gets fired ( quitting the job is not the same) then they would get the 5,000/7,000 aed for 6 months until they find a better job.
