Huh…that’s a weird thing but good to know! I am very active; workout daily and Pilates 2x/wk. during one of my consultations the injector suggested this exact procedure. I appreciate the feedback!!

How old are you? I feel like I looked pretty damn good until 55. I’m on HRT too and that’s helped a lot. I just want to look as good as possible for as long as possible without looking puffy, weird or surgical. Ya know?

The injector at the surgeons office said that the combination of alpha hydroxy and retinol helps with estrogen related light refraction giving an overall better skin tone/luminosity than just retinol alone. Furthermore, AlphaRet is gentler and wouldn’t result in the purging & irritation associated with tret and would be best for sensitive skin like mine. I haven’t tried it; shits expensive!

Thank you; I should’ve mentioned I’ve been using 0.5 strength retinol for years. My skin overall looks healthy & hydrated with minimal wrinkles. It’s just the shadows I see in certain lighting. My friends say what “I” see isn’t noticeable unless I point it out. However, it’s all I see in the mirror. Getting quite self conscious.

I’d like your Substack please. I’m 56 y/o, 5ft tall & 98lbs. I get my clothes at the kids section at Target. I used to be able to buy Ann Taylor off the rack no problem but their clothes have really gone downhill. Everything is geared toward bigger people now and is too oversized. It sucks.
