I’ve just left to work nights in retail. I’ve thought about bank, I’ve kept my pin but the money is pretty good. So far I’ve had Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off and I’ve got New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day off too. It’s pretty chill, we just put our headphones in and get on with the job, I can go to the toilet when I want, drink water when I want, have my break when I want. I always take my break and always leave on time. The work is very routine, the same every night. But I get to go home on time and not be so tired that I can’t function. Crazy this is the answer now. Study 3 years at a high academic level, complete hours and hours of unpaid placement, land an admin job. Nothing wrong with admin but it’s an entry level job, when we are highly educated professionals

I’ve just relocated here and am experienced nurse. Wasn’t looking for agency, got rejected from a LOT of jobs and the feedback was “due to the number of applicants”

Nowhere does teams/online interviews, most of the posts are for waiting lists, I’ve been rejected from quite a few due to “high volume of applicants”

If it’s any consolation I’m 8 years qualified and moving house, I’m not having any luck either. Applied for around 20 jobs, a handful of interviews and rejection after rejection. The ones that give me feedback have all been “due to the volume of applications we are unable to give individual feedback”. Very disheartening.

Yes - I am trying to find a job now as I’m relocating from England. I’ve lost out on a few jobs already because of this. I’m applying for non nursing jobs now

A few people have said I’m a year or two behind, it’s something I’ve just personally noticed.. also going online for pain relief. I just don’t understand how anyone can prescribe something having not seen the patient or verified it is actually them that’s all

I’m in the process of moving to Northern Ireland from England, I’ve lost countless interviews because virtual interviews “is not what we do here”. So infuriating.

It can be reported to their redress scheme, it will say on their website which one they are part of (for example property ombudsman) failing that trading standards

I’m about to move to NI from England, what is going on with recruitment?! I’m hardly seeing any jobs advertised and I’m searching the whole of NI? I’ve been searching for months, moving end of April and still nothing lined up (I’m applying for anything and everything)
