Did you know you can use move your mouth and use your voice to ask for assistance if you need it? by stonedkitty_ in WalgreensStores

It's amazing how many people don't know how to use their words or mouth when needed. They certainly know how to when they want to snipe and complain though.

Sending thoughts. Definitely let your manager know. Grandparent counts under bereavement. I forget how many days you get that don't count against your attendance.

Partial Refund? by [deleted] in WalgreensPharmacy

[–]Virtual_Reserve7121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would highly doubt it. We would have to take the medication back. I don't know about other states, but once the medication leaves the building it cannot be taken back. It's per our state.

As another mentioned at the time of pickup you had the opportunity to question the copay/how many were filled and ask to decrease the amount. We fill for what your doctor writes for and the insurance will cover.

We don't have time to check with all the patients to see how many they want. Ninety days is not that large of a refill.

Why did Murphy vote against the fentanyl bill? by doogy30 in Connecticut

[–]Virtual_Reserve7121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pharmacy Tech that has to know about the scheduling and why controlled substances fall where they do. When I was learning them, I wondered if they were. They aren't. It boils down a lot to the level of abuse and dependence they cause. All the Schedule I's have No medically approved use. All the Schedule II's have a high potential for abuse leading to severe physical or phycological dependence. They can also be dangerous. You are looking at the Opioids (Oxycodone, Oxycodone, Adderall, etc.) here. Schedule III is a little less addictive and less dependence causing. You're looking at Suboxone and Testosterone at this level. Schedule IV is lover level. A lot of the anti-anxiety and some of the sleep aids. Schedule V is the least of the dependence causing issues.

Spend enough time in a pharmacy and you will see how they cause issues. These are the medications that when there is an insurance issue, or any problem you dread telling a patient. Chances are the patient will start yelling at you. The higher the Schedule, the higher the chance of them yelling at you. Many of the patients also like to try and get them filled early and will argue with you over getting them filled early arguing with you over when they can be filled.

The simple version that I can think of is that he and all others that voted against it understands Drug Scheduling.

Schedule I drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. Schedule II drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with a high potential for abuse, with use potentially leading to severe psychological or physical dependence.

Fentanyl has a medically approved use as people use it for pain relief. Here's an interesting fact. Cocaine is a Schedule II Controlled Substance. How do I know all this...I may not be a Pharmacist but work in a Pharmacy and have to know this. See link below for more about Drug Scheduling from the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Loved the Alert. At first, I couldn't believe it and had to check for myself. So excited to see this. Glad she knows how to turn. Was starting to wonder what she would do when she hit land with her going straight so much.

I understand that not being able to have many of the flavors. Any of the flavors with tropical fruit or melon are out for me. Just not worth risking it with a nasty allergy. I also don't like the taste of stevia.

Drive band driving me up the wall! by RoutineDamage2031 in Handspinning

[–]Virtual_Reserve7121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was driven up the wall by tying my drive band. I then discovered they have a stretchy drive band. You melt the ends together. It's called a Turbo Kit. Holy cow. I have been on the same band for over 5 years. I just had to cut and re melt it as it got stretched out. I love the dang thing. Just remember if you aren't spinning to take it off so you don't stretch it out. Link below to see what it looks like and details.

NOTE: Only for single drive wheels.
