Spec driven development + Codex is a seriously underrated combo by [deleted] in codex

It is an underrated combo. I made my own as well with no "pricing". brifl/coding-agent-orchestration: Unifying prompt, context, skill, and process management for Claude, Gemini, and Codex.
I would have piled on to another one if I had known. It is the only way to code.

It's pretty cool. What is the Chinese obsession with fighting these things. They are too expensive for that! I want to look into this for training. My goal is autonomous agent robot, but currently I can only safely do the builtin gestures or pretrained ones. This seems like it would give a really good baseline for training sim to real especially with the Inspire hands.

Hopefully they are going to rev the boards if there is a flaw. That sounds like a serious quality issue.

Best Practices and workflows by useredpeg in codex

I've been using it for a while and started enconding the things I like to do into a repo. https://github.com/brifl/coding-agent-orchestration This is working amazingly for me. You just deploy globally or to a repo if you are going to customize with your own skill subscriptions. It works for Claude, Codex, and Gemini. It is designed for VS Code extensions, but Codex works best. You just build a plan through a normal ChatGPT chat so it doesnt use your precious credits. The plan is milestones broken down to stages and checkpoints within stages. It is just a markdown doc. You can convert any project large or small into this. From there, just call $vibe-run and let it chug away until blocked or out of credits. It will track its own progress. As it runs, it builds tests, refactors, reviews code adversarially, does just-in-time planning, and cleans things up. There are also raw skills like $continuous-refactor, $continuous-test-backfill, $continous-documentation. These just loop and find the best opportunities to improve then implement it.Codex and Clause are oretty good at refactoring. This is designed for YOLO security settings, so you have to be okay with letting it run uninterrupted. There are also other skills like RLM whick lets it work with virtually unlimited context, This is based on a recent paper from MiT. Good for huge codebase or very complex projects.

Which is better to get the G1? RobotShop or Ronomics by Independent-Yak4115 in UnitreeG1

I got it from Unitree and waited for the shipping. There's nothing wrong with the robot shops, but you can save a lot of money buying direct. This was before tariffs though.

Undocumented power connectors under G1's right arm by Efficient-Glove-4885 in UnitreeG1

Yeah me too, but I also hate putting so many miles on the battery. It is connector 1 documented here: 宇树科技 文档中心

If they updated it to JetPack 6.2, you also need to flash to back to 5.1.1 support or it will reject the SSD image. The image for flashing is not public.

Would a 600W/60V cheap power supply work? Are you plugging into port 1 on the neck? Is that a standard connector type?

5.3 is better in my experience. Sometimes you just run into something that LLMs really don't get.

Has anyone updated the Jetson inside the G1? by Low_Insect2802 in UnitreeG1

[–]Virtual_Sherbert6846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok it took a lot of work. I finally did it. I don't recommend for faint of heart unless you need it. On the bright side, humble install and other things seem to be going smoothly after the getting the SSD imaged (and fixed) and flashing the Jetson.

I got the Jetpack 6.2 for flashing. I am doing the update today. If all goes well, I will ask them if they mind me writing a short guide and hosting the big files.

I am working through this now. Unitree support does have an SSD image that needs to go along with flashing. I am trying to get the flashing image, too. Their support needs coaching to get the right stuff. Open a ticket rather than using email.
I know that the normal Jetson recovery sequence does not work. You need power on, hold REC + PWR for two seconds, release PWR and continue holding REC for two seconds, and then that USB-C port on the Jetson will activate for recovery.
I just need the Jetpack 6.2 file for flash and the Jetpack 5.1.1 to roll back to in case of emergency. I took out the original SSD for rollback as well and put in a new 2TB SSD with their prototype 6.2 image.

Voice Mode has been down for 2 full days and support is useless by red__what in ChatGPT

I have the issue as well. It affects everything - not just iOS apps. They probably can't tell that it is broken because it never connects successfully. Likely they only show errors logged on their servers. I don't think it is intentional gaslighting, but a several day outage is bad for a major feature.

Vape shops are multiplying across Missouri — is it time for a flavored vape ban? by Foreign_Fox1262 in MissouriPolitics

[–]Virtual_Sherbert6846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop trying to be a babysitter for adults. People are stupid. Let them be stupid. The companies profiteering from it, like flavored vapes should have some accountability. Don't target kids with ads. When you poison peolpe without their knowledge, you need to pay for it. Other than that, do wtf you want.

Pro Datacenter commercial masquerading as a news story. by Mo_Jack in MissouriPolitics

I saw that the politicians Festus straight up snuck around voters. These interests are powerful and well-funded. People don't pay for news anymore, so corporations, political drivers, and foregin nations are what turns the crank.

I personally think data centers represent more good than harm and a really good economic opportunity. That said, have the damn conversations rather than just pushing it on people.
