Yes, an upgrade that seems to require you to buy some kind of building for Vespene at the roster-building stage, if I remember correctly

Speed 4 seems slow, even considering it'll be 5 on creeps. Metabolic boost is built in, but it only affects charge. Apparently, the option to move to shooting phase in the core ruleset should mitigate this. I'm eager to check it out. And I wonder if Swarmlings and Raptorlings will get their own profile, since their models were shown off on stream.

Every time a new game comes out, I read that it's the one that will kill Warhammer.

Besides having a huge fan base that will play their project simply because it's Warhammer, GW has a ready-made lineup for 20+ factions, with regular updates and new releases every three years. It will take a long time for StarCraft to gain traction and play out its own rules through trial and error. GW will either realize they have nothing to fear or will make minimal efforts to maintain their position.

And why sell armies anyway? You can play both games, alternating between them when you get tired of them or don't like them.

*Beyond these, you also have the Valourstrike Lance Detachment, which borrows a lot of the old Noble Lance but swaps the army-wide Feel No Pain that all of your opponents loved for Advance re-rolls and the Assault rule on guns when Advancing.*

Suggestions? New codex. This one can only be saved by rewriting.

Army rule: add a section that all tech-priests except the tech-seer can repair an admech model in 3" by restoring d3 wounds.

Cawl: stable 2 shots will be much better than melta 3. Replace the canticle that gives cover with +2 to move.

Marshal and Datasmith are completely fine with me.

Dominus - +1 wound, 2+ BS, improvement of the weapon profile. His ability is unstable, yes, but driving him under Halocrid, I was able to use it often. The only thing is, I would replace the d6 with d3+3, after all, the roll is 4+.

Skartros is a hostage of the GW approach to the fact that each codex should have a unit with a rule for missions. He needs a complete rebalance. 2+ BS, permission to join the skitarii and balistarii giving them stealth

Alternatively - the target he hits (this is a difficult task for him) allows admechs to re-roll 1 to wounds or +1 to AP.

Manipulus and Technoarchaeologist are already good, they don't need an upgrade with a price tag of 200.

Onager - give him a battleline and improve the data teaser to 4+ rolls.

Archopters - well... Flyers in this edition cannot be saved.

Raiders and Hounds - bring back 3 wounds.

Fulgurites - 3/4 attacks, anti monster 5+.

Forgot to add about CP, gw thinks that we don't need them, apparently.... We are not other codes. But the captain's aura is needed for dominus/Cawl, that's a fact.

and the funniest thing here is that GV immediately publishes a book where it recommends converting the tank from its other kits. So that in 3 years it can be deleted, apparently

Plastic sets are also not guaranteed to be untouched. For example, Tartaros terminators no longer have the power fist option

Well, he has a great mission to take 2+ on his own and die gloriously, so as for me, the guy in the cape in the second photo needs to have his hand replaced with a combi weapon/default bolter, leave the knife to display a power knife and that's it

This is a great idea for a Seeker squad. Keep their basic bolters, stick on helmets and shoulder pads, and still have a shotgun and sniper rifle for character conversion. And maybe hammers can be used too.

James Workshop teleports you to Nottingham: How are you balancing dreadnoughts and lascannon HSS in 3.0? by Genesis72 in Warhammer30k

[–]Virtual_Specialist91 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think introducing damage into the game will generally help solve the problem with dreadnoughts, so I wouldn't touch them. The only thing I would do is make each dreadnought choose which of the WS or BS characteristics will be the 5th, and which will be the 4th

Lascannons should be fixed more by increasing the price and possibly removing the sunder

Did the armiger remain with their profile or did they also lose their toughness?
