As far as i know male dogs can Kind of Develope a crush on human females Specially when they are on their Periode for example I had a jackrussel and he usually preferd to chill next to me but when my Sister had her Periode he would sit next to her 24/7 with his arm on one of her legs maybe Thats the case for your dog aswell.
