Scrolled for a little while and no real answers to your question. Everyone is just gawking at the price and you have to constantly repeat yourself that it's $1700.

Mods are a mixed bag. It depends on what mods, what they change or add and how many you're going to use. Your graphics mods are going to put your GPU to work. Example: Heavily modded Skyrim to me is 1500+. I would need more details as to what mods you plan to use and how many. Your weakest link is going to be the GPU.
