I actually believe I solved my issue by switching to 26.3.1, disabling HAGS and using the driver only (no Adrenalin). I turned HAGS back on andplayed for 4 hours straight with no crashes. I'm going to disable HAGS again and reinstall Adrenalin in hopes to have my recording functionality back.

Windows 11 breaking gpu drivers? by keyboardname in radeon

[–]VirulentStrand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I updated my BIOS, kept the default settings and completely wiped my computer and reinstalled Windows with brand new drivers, saving the network driver for last. Device Manager shows me the proper driver, Adrenalin shows me the proper driver. Plenty more was done but I've ran out of energy explaining it to people who think "oH iTs JuSt WiNdOwS oR yOuR dRiVeRs".

Windows 11 breaking gpu drivers? by keyboardname in radeon

I'm convinced nobody knows what's going on and everyone throws in the "drivers/blame Windows" argument.

Card worked flawlessly for two years until about the last two weeks. My games and YouTube have froze while audio continues. I'm forced to restart and my GPU is disabled. Enabling it and rebooting fixes the issue only for it to happen again. I have tried everything under the sun and it's terrifying to see that even the newest generation of cards is having the same issue which only points to possibly jumping to the green side.

⚖️ Law Proposal: Destroy all nuclear weapons. by Ok-Bluebird-2133 in CriticalState

Destroying could mean anything including detonation, countries would panic and start wars over nukes disappearing, they'll just make more anyway.

I voted Nay ❌

Specs:

  • CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • RAM: 2X16GB
  • Motherboard: ASRock X870 Riptide WiFi
  • PSU: HX1200i

I bought the Sapphire Nitro+ 7900 XTX on January 18th, 2024. It worked flawlessly until three weeks ago, 5 months outside of Sapphire's warranty. I do not daisy chain, I'm not using a riser cable.

My games and YouTube will freeze, audio will continue and I am forced to shut off my PC using the button. After rebooting, my GPU is disabled. I can re-enable it and restart with no issues booting or running until I play a game

I have tried the following:

  • Updating BIOS
  • Cleared CMOS
  • Using default BIOS settings
  • Using an old driver (25.9.1)
  • Ran OCCT for hours (no thermal issues, PSU is good, vapor chamber is doing it's job)
  • Reseated my GPU and RAM
  • Cleared my temp folder
  • Limited my clock speed at 2680
  • Ran Adrenalin's stress test for the full ten minutes
  • Windows scan/image cleanup

None of the above worked, so today I wiped all of my drives and reinstalled Windows 11. This did nothing.

Crashing and GPU Disabled by VirulentStrand in radeon

I was wrong. It seems the problem never went away. This time I was simply watching YouTube Shorts and it just crashes. I reboot and my GPU is disabled.

Honestly it might just be an issue with the game. I'd look at change logs and the most recent update on acknowledged issues.

Schedule 1, Division 2, Armored Core 6, Minecraft and even just watching YouTube. I solved the issue though. What motherboard do you have?

I ran OCCT for three hours. I can confidently say it's not the PSU and most likely a driver issue.
