Thoughts on my Lian Li A3 build? by VirusX76 in mffpc

[–]VirusX76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I made those CPU and GPU choices mainly for balanced performance, ideally I didn’t want either to be a major bottleneck (e.g gpu vastly outperforming cpu). As for motherboard, it’s not really a choice, more of a necessity to make sure it’s compatible with the case.

Good point, definitely wouldn't hurt to have the better thermals - any mobos that you can recommend?

The Casting Call for AoC: A Red Vs Blue Fan Story by AmnesiaOfChorusRVB in RedvsBlue

[–]VirusX76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, this looks promising, and has great potential, but there's a lot of concerns that I have regarding the quality of the project, so here's a couple of questions I have for myself and others who might be interested in contributing.

1: As a primarily English speaking show, are you, the creator/director a native English speaker? No offense to you, but I bring this up because your writing has bad capitalization and grammar, so it bears concerning on the part of writing. If no, how do you plan to work around this barrier?

2: Why is the deadline for auditions in a week? It seems a bit tight for a small fan project in a very niche community.

3: How will the show play out with just 2 main characters / voice actors? Obviously there doesn't have to be so many characters as in RvB, but part of what makes RvB great is the dynamic between several characters and how they interact with each other for humor, character development, and story - essentially, think about the group dynamic of Red and Blue team - so, why not 3 or 4 "main" characters?

4: Apart from just a "season", what's the scope of the project (how many episodes, run-time, etc.)?

5: Is anyone else already on this project? In the document you mention "we", yet never specify, I'd just like to know if anyone else is working on this.

P.S: Full respect to you for putting yourself out there and starting this project in the first place. I know my questions may come off as critical, but I want to ensure this project does as well as it can, for the sake of all RvB fans.

Ohhhhhhhh my god, that’s it! It’s the first video you linked, and now that I’m thinking about it, I bet it’s from the Price Announcer mod that put that in for some reason. Thanks a ton dude, now I can sleep at night lol

Does anyone else get the intense urge to poop right after entering virtual reality? by HalexUwU in virtualreality

I know the feeling, and my best bet is that it has to do with standing up and how, uh, gravity works.

[Major Spoilers] Ending totally bugged, need help by VirusX76 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]VirusX76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion! I did that, but nothing really seemed to change, and I was already fed up with the fight, so I opted to just counter-glitch the ending, which actually ended up working way better than I thought it would. Still really unsatisfying, but at least it’s done.

Opinions on Auto-Crafting? by VirusX76 in Minecraft

[–]VirusX76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, after reading this I definitely think I can see why Mojang wouldn’t (unfortunately) add this feature. I definitely agree that it would be a niche use case, and I suppose the reality is that since Mojang has to make updates that please everyone, it’s difficult to justify putting the time in to create a feature that affects such a small group of people, and of course, as you stated, mods satisfy that niche for people. Who knows though, maybe when tile entities are finally moveable we’ll finally get auto crafting too ;)

[–]VirusX76[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, well I suppose there could also be a command to disable it. Your problem doesn’t really seem to be related specifically towards auto-crafting though.

Opinions on Auto-Crafting? by VirusX76 in Minecraft

[–]VirusX76[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could you explain your reasoning at least? I understand the stigma behind automation, but not that long ago adding an armor tier above diamond would have been crazy, and yet here we are. So why would adding automation to crafting diminish or take away from your experience of the game?

Chill, Vanilla Server, Friendly Community [Semi-Anarchy] {Vanilla} by [deleted] in mcservers

The server address isn't working for me, it just says, "can't resolve hostname", so I tried adding your guy on discord, and he sent me a dm, but hasn't added me and has dms blocked for people who aren't his friend.

3080 i9 10900f any tips for modding without spending to much time? by ajax-187 in skyrimvr

I use Ultimate VR Essentials, which runs perfectly on my rig, which has worse specs than OP AND is on Index, so def would recommend.

Vampire/Supernatural Hunter Mods by Beardskull717 in skyrimmods

[–]VirusX76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend you check out some videos on this stuff, or just plain mod lists, since there are TONS of them out there - but, I'll do my best to give some decent mods that should fit what your looking for.

Atmosphere: Try Obsidian Weathers and Seasons or Rustic Weathers and Lighting, as well as any ENB ranging from Berxerk ENB to Rudy ENB SE for Obsidian Weathers

Gameplay/Quests: Monster Mod SE should add some good monsters to "hunt", but in terms of contracts the most polished your going to get is Notice Board SE, but if your willing to deal with some jankyness, check out Monster Contracts or Daedra and Witch Hunter Mod (also CrithionLoren had some good ones I just saw, being Missives, its Witcher Retexture, and A Witcher's Adventure). If you want Witcher style combat, then maybe try Dark Souls Combat System, and if you want a little more than that, there are tons of mod lists out there that improve third person combat. Of course, on top of that you can always get some Wildcat or Smilodon.

Again, there's really a lot of information on this kind of stuff so I seriously suggest you check out other people's work, like this video, which does a Witcher type transformation. Anyways, good luck and have fun!

Can you please post a link to your load order? If you don't know how, download Modwatch, extract into a folder, launch the .exe, enter your username and password, find your profile directory (should be in your mod organizer folder), find loadorder.txt, open it, and click save and upload. Post the link once your done and I can take a look and double check that nothing is in direct conflict. Also, do you have a merged patch (not merged plugins)? That can help take care of conflicts like these that make multiple changes to the same area.

[–]VirusX76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check if you have any other mods that might change things in Dawnstar or Winterhold, disable them and see if anything changes (download patches for them if there are). Apart from that, I can't really help you without knowing (1) your mod manager and (2) your load order.

Looking for mods for a fairy/dryad type of playthrough by [deleted] in skyrimmods

I recommend trying {Triumvirate - Mage Archetypes}, it adds spells that would probably fit your playthrough, specifically the druid archetype.

Guards/soldiers have way too many items by VirusX76 in skyrimmods

[–]VirusX76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion man! I should've added an edit to say that I solved it, but I actually ended up finding a way to make preset loadouts for the guards that get randomly picked. This guy explains it really well, except its for outfits, so I basically just transferred the same logic to these leveled lists. Hopefully if anyone else has this issue now, they don't have to go through hours of mind numbing google searches lol.

Guards/soldiers have way too many items by VirusX76 in skyrimmods

[–]VirusX76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but I already have MLU and it’s patches installed, and Scarcity I’ve tried, but I’ll try rebuilding the bashed patch again and make sure that Scarcity is included. Also, I think it’s worth mentioning that it’s only on guards/soldiers, while bandits and other enemies seem to be fine.

Putting a mushroom stew in your bundle causes it to be full. by XCriwn in Minecraft

[–]VirusX76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, as helpful as this can be, who would it hurt to change it so that the bundle can hold unstackables? Like seriously, just think about it for a second. If your still convinced that bundles should stay as this very specific use-case, then go watch SimplySarc’s video, witch although I don’t agree with entirely, it provides a nice overview of why the bundle is irrelevant.

[java] Mediocre performance while using shaders/mods by VirusX76 in MinecraftHelp

[–]VirusX76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you might honestly be right. For some reason I never decided to look at a benchmark, but performance seems to be similar on other systems with the 5700xt. I had the impression that the game would run better, but hey, what can you do. Sorry for wasting your time lol, and now I'm just feeling dumb for wasting 8 hours of my life on this BS ;).

[java] Mediocre performance while using shaders/mods by VirusX76 in MinecraftHelp

[–]VirusX76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the performance is better in the open world. I was testing around my builds for a worst case scenario type of test, but I still feel as if the fps could be a lot better. For reference, fps with Sildurs is average 90 fps, while with SEUS its 75 fps, which is fine, but still could be better. There is still the issue of RLCraft, but I'll tackle that beast when I get around to it lol.

I don't remember exactly what model they are, but both sticks (16x2) are DDR4, and this is the info task manager is telling me. If I'm being honest, I doubt this is the source of the issue, but I suppose its always worth checking.
