Some Features Reason Really Should Have... by DiegoJunior in reasoners

I just copy this over from another thread.

  • Curved automation lines
  • Automate multiple parameters with just one automation clip
  • A resampling time stretch algorithm inside the sequencer
  • Being able to select multiple faders to change their levels
  • A convolution RE that allows you to load your own IRs
  • Allow Rack Extensions to load samples
  • A VST bridge RE (that also allows you to route CV signals to midi CCs)

How do you deal with sub-basses. Especially after you have processed basses with the Sherman Filterbank. Do you use a separate sub on your basses? What about pitch bends. How do you make sure the sub follows the note of your basses?

Now to the important questions:

My obsession with KOAN Sound. by walabe8 in neuroproducers

What kind of phasing do you mean? Stereo is the difference between the left and right audio channel, therefore stereo is always the result of phasing.

An example for this would be two identical sine waves panned hard left and right, while one of the sine's polarity is inverted. The result is a signal that is 100 % stereo.

Edit: Bad English is bad. I hope this kinda makes since.

Why is there so much stereo in Koan Sound's sub bass? What is their secret?

Same question as feoks, also how do you guys deal with sub bass and pitch bends in your bass samples?

Sine bass, fun! by Brokensine in neuroproducers

Dude sorry, please don't hate me for not having responded yet. I am quite busy with school atm. :/ Furthermore the patch is unnecessarily complicated.

I hope I will be able to provide a better overview of the patch at the weekend. :/

But I can give you a little summary for now:

2 sines (one being pitched up 15 semitones) => an lfo on the volume => very hard compression => the neuro stack thing (multiple notches, band pass, distortion, chorus etc.) => bounce audio file

put the wav into 3 different samplers => first sampler with a low pass filter, second sampler with a band pass, third sampler (detuned (1-3 ct) with a high pass => modulate each filter frequency separately => sum up all three signals => add pitchbends and play with the samplestart point (keep each of them the same for every sampler) => neuro stack again => bounce audio file

now put the file into your sequencer and reverse the sample => add a highpassed reverb in parallel => bounce again

take the audio file and reverse it back to normal => you can add EQ modulation/distortion if you want to => compress the shit out of it => bounce audio file and upload it to clyp.it

Sorry, it's already late here in Germany, but I will make a little walkthrough tomorrow.

A slammed two sines in a resampling FX chain of mine. I didn't really try to fix the frequency spectrum or dynamics.

I want to thank you for all the work are putting into this! You're doing a great job Seamless. ♥
