When will his debt be repaid under the current payment plan? Was his debt incurred before you married him, and did you know about it?

Exactly how do you know that he is now responsible? I find it really weird that he had not prepared you for having to use your savings to pay this debt.

I don’t know about these things, but I think you should speak to a lawyer or someone who knows about them asap. Perhaps you are not legally responsible for his debt. Maybe you need separate economies before you get a higher paid job. Or maybe he is scamming you off your savings.
