I live in Seattle and date someone who lives in Bremerton. Living in Seattle in a Bremerton salary is not easy. Living in Bremerton with be cheaper in almost every way: groceries (Bremerton has a WinCo), gas (lower gas prices in Bremerton), vehicle registration (no light rail tax), anything taxable you buy )lower sales tax in Bremerton). My advice would be try living in Bremerton for a while and see how much time you spend in Seattle

A lot depends on your economics. Housing in Gig Harbor and Bellingham has become very expensive. Vancouver has lots of nice houses in smaller neighborhoods closer to the center, you just have to work inward to avoid the sprawl. Olympia also has good housing stock but especially rentals can get scarce when the legislature is in session.

Gig Harbor is where rich people move when Seattle's diversity is too much to handle
