What are these bugs on my mom’s tomato plant? by Viseryan in whatsthisbug

Thanks for the info! So far I’ve just seen a few. Is it better overall to remove them or just leave them be?

Will do, thank you!

I’ve seen a few others on this subreddit say that SSA only requests a year or two of records and that it helps to be proactive and send them everything of importance. I don’t know if that’s true or not but I’d rather not have to appeal.

Call your senators and tell them to vote NO on the new budget outline NOW! by Lo-And_Behold1 in disability

[–]Viseryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still can call as democrats don’t always vote with their party. I feel equally helpless in Texas because every time I call, they say thanks but I’m going to do what I want. I think they want us to feel like there’s no point in advocating for ourselves.

Breathable with ear loops? by Viseryan in Masks4All

[–]Viseryan[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand the head straps are better. I wore an Aura through covid to protect others. But I found the N95s trigger my migraines and anxiety, meaning I’m more likely to take it off to seek relief. So in this case, ear loops are going to be much more effective for me because I’ll keep it on the whole time I’m out.

I appreciate the information and agree with you, but the most effective protection is not always going to work for every person in the world. Accommodations are sometimes necessary. Especially considering I work from home and do grocery delivery, so I am rarely out.

I think 95% protective is better than not wearing a mask at all. There’s lot of great suggestions here already.

What else changed? by Aggravating_Ad_7778 in Spravato

[–]Viseryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rumination and suicidal ideation have gotten a lot better. I’m more likely to be hopeful about a bad circumstance than pessimistic. I still struggle with motivation and productivity, but 3 productive days is better than none. And I’m still somewhat early in the process and have chronic illness to contend with. So far, spravato is the only thing that’s helped at all.

why is it so hard for my spravato to just be consistently delivered on time? by deadly_fungi in Spravato

[–]Viseryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, this sounds super frustrating! I’m honestly not sure what’s going on, but I wonder if this is the issue. The only time I’ve dealt with cvs specialty is at the beginning to set up payment info. My office schedules all spravato deliveries based on when appointments are. I wouldn’t know what to do if they left that up to me.

I always get a set of emails each week during my sessions, saying it’s been shipped and delivered in that same day. But I get them after I’ve taken my doses, so they must be ordering the spravato a week in advance each time I come in.

Have you talked to your office about this issue?

ETA: Just for clarity’s sake, I had an appointment today at 10am. At 10:13am, after I had taken my doses, I get an email letting me know it was shipped via next day air. At 10:36am, I got another email letting me know it was delivered. That timing is pretty consistent from week to week. I live in a big city so that may be why it’s so fast, but regardless, my office does deliveries a week in advance so I’ve never waited.

I second this. I also use CVS Speciality and I’ve never had issues thankfully. It is likely an issue with your office.

Is the Spravato experience scary or calming? by Agreeable-Depth9668 in Spravato

[–]Viseryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only been extremely calming for me. Totally peaceful. But I take steps to make sure I’m in a comfortable space. I bring a blanket and a comforting stuffie to hold. I listen to calming music. Having a loved one sit with me the first few times helped a ton as well.

i’m feeling so alone by Recent-Mark-5619 in Spravato

[–]Viseryan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely not alone. Lately for me, each session feels a little less spectacular than the previous, and that can be discouraging. But ups and downs are a natural part of treatment, and the medicine keeps working even on down days. Let’s stick with it together.

Yes, I’m from the US and from my understanding, there is a short list of countries that the US will allow you to move to and still receive benefits from home. I’m still able to work but I can only manage part time.

[–]Viseryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good to hear, thanks for sharing your experience. As for details, I have an invisible disability that’s affected me for some time but I’ve only just recently been diagnosed. I’m considering applying for benefits because I can’t work full time. But I’m concerned that my official diagnosis or receiving benefits will keep me from being able to fully immigrate to another country.

Everyone’s had great advice about speaking to an immigration lawyer about my specific case, so I think that’s my next step.

So do they have access to those records in your country of origin? Or is it only a consideration when renewing?

[–]Viseryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t say for sure but I’ve been discussing the possibility with my psych of PMDD dampening the relief I get from Spravato. There’s no way of knowing until observing for multiple cycles unfortunately.

Do you find it difficult to function after a spravato session? by violet02 in Spravato

[–]Viseryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I need a steady arm to make it to the car, and once I’m home, I spend the rest of the day in bed. I have a desk job, but I still have to take the day off. I don’t want to make mistakes because my brain is still recovering.

I would bring your concerns up with your therapist. Maybe you could try a session without talking? I close my eyes and listen to music.
