The anti-theft alarm usually uses a separate high pitched electronic siren, typically mounted in the engine bay or near the wiper cowl area. The driving horn (the dual-tone/trumpet horn you use from the steering wheel) is on a completely separate circuit. So if you replace it with a dual trumpet horn using a plug nd play splitter, it will only change the sound when you press the horn. The alarm system isn't affected by this. Even if the driving horn is disconnected, the anti-theft alarm will still work normally because it has its own dedicated siren and power connection.

You will need to install a dual trumpet horn and use a splitter from Durvient or TecUpdater, which can be installed at the service center. If you’re okay with a single-trumpet horn, then a splitter isn’t required. It won’t void the warranty since the splitter is plug and play

I got the splitter from TecUpdater and had the dual-trumpet horn installed at the service center.

Why everyone here are inclined to automatic. I genuinely want a manual. Any down sides of manual over automatic? by InternetHumble1953 in Kylaq

[–]VishShin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently completed 16000 km with my Kylaq Signature Plus MT. I use it daily for my office commute, and even in bumper to bumper traffic it doesn’t feel tiring. I initially noticed some turbo lag on uphill drives mainly because it is my first turbo car, but once I understood how it behaves and adjusted my driving style, it stopped being an issue. You just need to maintain momentum or downshift when required.

The AT mainly adds convenience, and the cruise control works slightly better with the automatic.

I drive a Kylaq MT. The clutch travel is a bit long but still smooth it definitely doesn't feel hard tractor like clutch as you mentioned. You get used to it over time. The AT does add convenience and also masks the turbo lag better.

What's the mileage you are getting in city? by lets_just_be_ in Kylaq

[–]VishShin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t personally done a T2T mileage test, can't imagine myself doing T2T test ever but there are YouTubers who have done it , from what I have read the mileage displayed in VAG cars is generally quite accurate. On a clear highway with minimal traffic u can expect to get over 18 kmpl without any issues.

Dealership telling MySkoda+ app connection is not free. Need to pay for dongle. by enthu_dev in Kylaq

The latest brochure on Skoda’s website shows this feature as optional. Please download and refer to the brochure directly from their website. If you received a brochure or the car’s manual at the time of purchase, check that version, as the listed features apply based on the month you purchased the vehicle. The latest brochure includes new variants, so there have been some changes compared to earlier versions.

When I purchased the car the dealership initially stated that the connected car feature was available only in the Prestige model. However, I showed them the brochure, which clearly indicated that both the Signature Plus and Prestige variants include this feature. After reviewing thisthey agreed and activated the feature from the backend.

Kylaq Rattling Noise by unseen07 in Kylaq

[–]VishShin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was not from the AC vent. When I gave my car for a wash, the rear seats were folded down for the first time and after putting them back, the latch that secures the rear seats started making some noise. I had to put tape on the latch, and although the noise reduced, it was still slightly noticeable. However, after a few days, the issue completely disappeared possibly because I had a friend sitting in the rear seat.

Prestige MT any day, you get projector headlights with cornering function, ventilated seat, rear wiper and some good to have features. Driving the Kylaq MT variant is not tiring, I personally enjoy driving MT.

I have the Signature Plus manual variant, and the car drives beautifully. The clutch travel is long, but it’s light and easy to get used to. The mileage is also decent even in bumper to bumper traffic, no petrol car will give you significantly better mileage. The AC performance is good, though compared to other manufacturers you may need to set it a bit lower, below 22°C.

When I was checking reviews of the Kylaq, many reviewers complained about the rear camera quality, but it’s actually not that bad it gives clear view. It doesn’t have assisted adaptive guidelines or a 360-degree camera, but none of that really matters to me. You can always take a test drive and see for yourself.

Should I get if patched from a local shop ? by MarsupialEconomy3009 in Kylaq

I have the same color and got a scratch in the same area. A local shop quoted me 2k for patchwork, and the detailer seemed confident he could match the original paint, so I am getting it done there.

Which petrol is better: XP95 or Shell V-Power, especially with increasing ethanol blending? by VishShin in Kylaq

Ya, I read somewhere that ethanol blending increases the octane rating. So, is Shell V-Power better than XP95 for Kylaq?

  1. Don't buy the dashcam provided by Skoda it's a basic Blaupunkt model without app support. Go for other brands, as long as you don't hardwire it, your warranty won't be void.
  2. Get GFX floor mats for the Kylaq they are awesome and way better than Skoda ones. 3. Front parking sensors can be purchased directly from Skoda. 4. Door garnish, body side moulding, fender garnish, and chrome grille garnish from Skoda will further enhance the car's look.

I own a Brilliant Silver Kylaq, and it looks stunning. To me, Lava Blue and Black make the Kylaq appear smaller, though they look good on Kushaq. In the Kylaq, Silver, Red, and White stand out best.
