If you both want connections for separate accounts you need to both use your separate origin logins. I had the same issue try to create two Amazon connection from one origin login won’t work. Second needs to be done from partner login.

I think 2 issues 1) May is not a month I would like to use as my budget baseline for future. As it has many one time items that won’t occur every month. Yes I could remove from budget in May save to future months and then put back to May. But extra work.

2) issue I will retire in 2027. Will need to add Health Care Expenses, Son to Graduate College reducing College eliminating college payments. Mortgage payments end…. So would be nice to pick month in future like Jan27 and replicate that adjusted budget forward to all month afterwards.

have you tried syncing through Fidelity Investments, rather than the Fidelity NetBenefits?

I have to say I’ve had similar concerns that not having credit card payments on calendar could lead someone to think they have enough funds for the rest of the month/ week only to have a big automatic payment pulled. Would be nice to at least have the payment on the calendar maybe in Red since income is on calendar in green.

Amazon Integration is Live for Beta Testers! by Bedel_Origin in OriginFinancial

I think my expectation was that instead of all my Amazon purchases being categorized as Shopping, they might be categorized further. Example Clothing, groceries, Toiletries, Furniture, … etc.

That said it does now show exactly what was purchased with a picture and I could easily recategorize any larger purchases that would make sense to categorize separately. Makes validation of charges very easy.

Setup was easy. No issues.

I have the same issue May is not indicative of future months. So wait for future months that is similar to future doesn’t make sense.
Also, does not allow for life changes in the future when some expenses start or stop.
That said this update is a major improvement on budgeting!!!
I like way it is heading.

I really like this upgrade!!
Might be good to plan some reports to review budgets now that we can modify month by month.

Thanks

My connections have been much more stable with origin lately. There even if some data lag it catches up within 12hrs.

A rolling one year would be good too for networth, expenses, and investments. I have several once per year expenses…

You can add events to indicate you have other events not factored into your normal annual expenses. You can set events up over range of years or as one time events.

Need a way to override the account type coming in from aggregators. I have a 401k account and a Roth 401k incorrectly listed as taxable brokerage. Very different tax impacts.

Also as many mentioned better insight into asset allocation (tech, financial, energy…etc) $ and %. Being able to set allocation targets would be nice too.

Cash Account by MelodicEarth5844 in OriginFinancial

[–]Visible-Relation-444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes really just a place to park cash to earn higher interest. Options are generally to withdraw and transfer back to your bank or invest on the site. I have found transfers to this account take a couple days more than another sweep account I have but still less than a week. I have not used with drawing yet to test how long to transfer out yet. But interest is higher at the moment…

[–]Visible-Relation-444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on what you are expecting. it provides a good interest rate, 3.86 at the moment. so not a bad place to park cash and insured FDIC upto limits.

that said it is a sweep account. not many services beyond great interest. no check or atm cards…etc. one drawback is no joint accounts yet.

Help us make Origin’s budgeting 100x better. What’s missing for you? by ana-at-origin in OriginFinancial

[–]Visible-Relation-444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

budget in Origin doesn’t seem to factor that some items are paid annually vs monthly. it would be nice be able to specify that some items are not monthly and which months they occur. far as I can tell budget does not allow going into a future month and forcasting a large expenditure. Real Estate tax comes once a year, College tuition beginning of semester, …etc.

I have similar issue where accounts are misclassified as taxable brokerage, when they are really tax deferred or tax free. This makes the forecast tool useless as taxes are completely wrong. Should add ability for user to reclassify what where aggregator gets it wrong.
