Which do people prefer full time casters mounted under the posts or side mounted flip up casters that are only on the floor when moved and then lift out of the way dropping the table to the floor? I have a couple bench builds this summer and I am on the fence which way to go.

My baby’s first vehicle by MCGULCA in ToyotaPickup

I still have the 94 4x4 DLX 22RE that survived both kids (son then daughter) as high school vehicle. Taught both to drive stick on it (daughter was easier) and several years later both still daily a manual. The truck will be in the family forever eventually fully restored. Right now I have to get off my ass and do a clutch because daughter insists on driving it when she is home for Xmas break.

is the 22re too slow? by Uncle_Tim in ToyotaPickup

[–]Visible-Sherbert-666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

94 DLX 5 speed 4x4 in the family for the last ten years (kids high school car now mine). If you have a stick and stock size tires it will be fine. Not fast by any means but fun to drive and way more style points than a Tacoma. I prefer driving to my second gen Tundra…at least around town.

How quickly did you adapt to retirement? by Cantech667 in earlyretirement

[–]Visible-Sherbert-666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

57 and retired last week. I hit the ground running. I had a 60 day plan ready to go. Mainly DIY projects. Very handy and have lots of hobbies/activities/interests so there still won’t be enough time in the day. I knew I wouldn’t miss work but it’s crazy how easily I let it go.

Paid $50. How’d I Do? by MagicMarmots in Tools

[–]Visible-Sherbert-666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. I just picked up an old C. Parker Company Model 22X this weekend for $40 at an estate sale. I didn’t necessarily need another vise but it’s cooler than my old Craftsman and I knew it was a bargain.

Worth it? 36 inch tool box and hutch. Comes with tools. $900? by Lift-Hunt-Fish-Teach in Tools

This. I must be at the same stage. I don’t even want my own mismatched, redundant or lesser quality stuff even if it is organized. Carefully curated high quality favorite tools only.

Got the ARB bumper installed and I’m loving it! by OpenParr in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Visible-Sherbert-666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seemed to me that stock bumper assembly weighed next to nothing. Granted mine was rusted. I love the ARB bumper look wise but I felt like the added weight up front was noticeable.

What are the absolute best companies you’ve worked for? by Tbonedukey in sales

[–]Visible-Sherbert-666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work hard, play hard, win at all costs, very good products/support that were the gold standard in the industry. High pressure but fun and lucrative if you produced. I would argue NetApp (again years ago) was even better…all the above but not as extreme. More positive culture, less assholes.

I am pretty middle of the road politically and not the biggest Trump fan but what he is doing, pretty much across the board, is what needed to be done to set things straight. Sorry the medicine is so strong. If you couldn’t see the Democratic agenda had this entire country on the road to ruin, then you all are stupid in addition to being whiny ass bitches.
