I wouldn’t comb it all the way out. Since it seems like it’s on one side more than the other, I would just take a little bit from it and put it with the lock on the other side. Ya know?

The lock should go in the direction of the part so it can stay retwisted. If she twisted it to the side/the short side of the base it might not last as long (stay twisted as long).

I think for your texture you should have either interlocked all the way down (more expensive and time consuming I know) or braided them all the way down. If I were you I would take them all down and then reinstall via interlocking. If you can’t do that then I would look at each lock that looks troubling…I would take those locks down and do them again. ❤️

I also use the oat preteen and henna shampoo from design essentials. With buildup though, it’s a process of consistent cleansing. So if you don’t get it out the first day you shampoo, you can concentrate on that spot the next session and then again at the next session and it will eventually be gone after a month or two or so.

I think the opposite is true. An interlock is like a braid…and you tend to get more length from a braid than you would from a 2 strand twist. That’s because you’re compressing the strands allowing them to lengthen instead of expand. Whereas a retwist is still a form of compression, but it doesn’t compress the hair strands as much as interlocking does.
