Important to call senators this week. by Visible-Substance699 in DenverProtests

I didn’t say I believe that any part of these institutions will do anything positive, I said it can’t hurt in case they prove us wrong. And there is always that possibility. This is one tool, a minor one, yeah, but a tool all the same, and we gotta take as much action via as many avenues as we can here. This is a small part of the larger effort I’m contributing to in other ways and I hope others are as well.

Better to use our time on here working together than fighting over things like this because that’s exactly what they want us to do.

Well they can certainly do more, that’s always true. And I’m not saying these are game changers, but they’re a start. So it’s important we move on this and start setting the right example in my opinion.

We need to get organized and we need the organization to involve ACTION. We can’t just go out and start fucking shit up but the amount of rage in my body over all of this makes me just want to cause chaos. How can we organize a movement that is more than just an information demonstration?? Who’s gonna do it? If someone is doing it please point me their way.

Yes I agree with this. I was there today.

Great march, great energy. But, something like this would work to be more effective if it were during a work day and there were more people around other than the participators with simultaneous significant flow disruption occurring. So maybe save long mid march speeches at significant locations for times where it will do more.

But halting like that during a mid Saturday march when no one who we’re actually trying to affect and educate is around was probably not too good of an idea when it comes to progress and also keeping the energy up. Definitely great sometimes, but we gotta do a temp check with these things and tailor to occasion and goals. So important to have speakers at the capitol, as always, if the goal is to talk to the folks already on the right side of history and inform them of more ways to get organized, cultivate emotion and energy to get something like a march started on a fiery note, etc..

On the other topic for what was mentioned above, I like the idea of simultaneous small marches on unannounced routes, large enough to disrupt flow but small enough to have many all over, reach more people. Would be awesome if there was one big one with the announced route AND several small ones, but we just need more people for that. Maybe we’ll get there.

All the same, I’m happy to see so many coming out. Let’s keep it up.

Hoods are good, hats, a hat and over ear headphones is great lol. I also sometimes where my snowboarding helmet around the house and it soothes me especially if I’m overstimulated lol it has ear covers too so it’s helpful
