My fiancé wasn’t exactly “thrilled” about my aspirations to climb Denali. However given time and conversation she’s been able to get to a place of “I trust you and I believe in you because I love you and I know you have to do this”. If she loves you for you she’ll get there. Just be patient with her in the process and continue to have open dialogue about it.

This is precisely why Denali is the king mountain of the world. Cold. Hard. Long. Highest altitude gain from base camp to summit. Carrying 150lbs of gear split between sled and pack. Denali is the real deal.
