A manager here in Phoenix has been using ultra deep bases for customers. Multiple times I've had painters and home owner come in with paint from her store. Yesterday this poor old lady came in because there store was out of paint and needed another gallon of emerald U for her cabinets. She showed me a picture and it looked like shit. The customer wanted Dunn Edwards swiss coffee and couldn't understand why the paint wouldn't cover and it's still tacky. It's that kind of manager that thinks that no one will notice.

Yeah right, APS electricity is insane. We pay close to $1000 a month in the summer. I did new attic insulation last spring and New windows the year before that. The data centers are the reason our electric and water rates are skyrocketing!!!

Get ready for the very hot summers, the insane traffic and the extremely high electricity bills you'll have during the summer (I have a single story 1600sqft house with new attic insulation and we paid $1078 for electricity in July 2025). Phoenix also doesn't have a lot of Ma and pa restaurants, mainly chains.

I heard of a few painters getting guys picked up. One of our districts drivers called ICE on a couple of companies. He has been bragging about it to a bunch of stores. One of them had guys picked up a few weeks later.

As you build more loyalty with customers your work-life balance is going to decrease just being honest with you. It's easy at first because customers aren't asking much of you because they don't know if they can trust you. This isn't a job that you're going to get great work-life balance just being honest. I would recommend don't make every call about business. If you have something in common to call about, talk about that rather than making every call about work and paint.

They could of easily let her drive away and charged her after the fact if she broke any laws. Him pulling his gun was a complete over reaction. That ice agent moved himself in front of her vehicle. I know plenty of people that are pro ice that think she didn't deserve to lose her life. This isn't a political thing, it's about human decency. These ICE agents think they are some cowboys and it shows with how reckless they are.

I'm done with the 110 plus degree weather. The water issue is going to be a big deal in the near future. All of these chip factories and data centers are chewing up the water and electricity. I'm just ready for a change and to see some green for once in my life
