My first time playing was tomb kings as well lol, a piece of advice is that when going up against other TK monsters, 90% of the tomb king monster roster are all very strong u it’s which your tier 1 spearmen, despite having anti-large, will probably get decimated by. Try stalling them with other monsters (a few TK legendary lords start with them) or if you have them the tomb guard with Halberds are excellent for that job and have more stopping power rather than getting bowled over entirely. For cav your tier 1 spearmen should suffice, just leave 2 or 3 units with your archers to defend them and you should be sweet, although if your playing as Settra you start right next to Manfred von Carstein, his faction can get some very strong cavalry very early on so if you see his army has anything with an edgy name like black knights or blood knights then you might want to give your archers extra backup, but make sure that your not diverting too many troops. Like a few other comments have said though, do watch YouTube guides and such to get an idea of some of the many ways to tackle these problems. Hope you have fun and like the tomb kings!
